Given Capital One Progress a go?

Lower pass mark but you still get a swanky black master card emblazoned with "Platinum" :o

A swanky card accompanied by a very low but swanky credit limit. :rotfl:

I'm due an increase on my Capital One plus card however I doubt it'll be much. If the limit is not to my liking, I will toy with them and send them a message demanding they decrease my limit to £10 just to see their response. :D

You are desperate, or at least it looks that way to any lender looking at your file.
Stop applying and wait at least 6 months, I learned the hard way - don't you do the same. ;)
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

yes your dead right just spoked to the lady at equifax after 10mins of waiting, and explained to her can you just tell me why i keep getting declined she said to many applications in a short amount of time, which you are right desperate for credit, but she also said there is no adverse history and she cant see nothing wrong with it as i have always payed on time, then said might have something to do with the £2545 i owed HFC for my television i got on 0% for a year, which i told her i have now payed that all off,so now i have to go to online dispute and give them my ref number from hfc bank to say ive payed it all

Actually I think NatWest do. Last time I was in branch, they had printed out a copy of my account number and details about the account I hold and on that print-out, it said "Any available offers for ElkyElky: N". Although 'offers' is pretty vague.
Hmm, yea "offers" might be something like home insurance or some other rubbish. I heard about Halifax giving pre-approved, that you can see online, and others in branch too, haven't heard of Natwest doing it though.

Considering I've managed all my accounts perfectly with them since I was 12, and I had savings with them - along with no other cards etc last May, and was only given a £350 credit limit I don't think they particularly like me:rotfl:.

I think they may well use your internal score of some kind when you apply for something, but they won't pre-approve you for anything, and I can't apply for anything because they limit you to 1 card and I don't need their loans, so either way it's not really going to affect me until after I get taken off the student card and (moved I assume, rather than applying for) a normal card

I don't know how much difference it makes to them anyway...I still can't believe I get a £350 credit limit and no increase despite paying on time ever since I've had it (never expected it with them mind) and my mate (who has managed to get themselves over the overdraft since having a student account, before starting uni!) then applied for the card and got a £500 limit. It's got to be to do with profit - both of us had been at our addresses for about 3 years at the time of the apps, both on the ER, both had no other debt, my mate only got Natwest account 3 years after me so technically I'm in a better position if internal score counts, or equal if it doesn't....BUT my mate had paid Natwest charges for something and I hadn't....hmmm...looking more and more suspicious....

Nice to see him throwing the £500 back at them though... never used more than £250 and always pays on time, so that trick by Natpest to get some more money off him clearly isn't working :D
  • I don't know yet...will let you know

I am assuming as I only got accepted for my first credit card in Jan (Barclaycard Initial) then it will be something like £1000 @ 24.9%

    Kepp you posted

    I wasn't far off...they have been a bit generous though £2000 @ 24.9%

0% on balance transfers for 6 months if I do the transfer within 3 months of account opening

Not bad considering Barclaycard only gave me £400 for my Initial Card..
