Completely agree that Apple deliberately restrict what you can do with their products. This is no new thing and helps to 'lock in' brand loyalty. They've been selling the public a load of hooey reasons (security etc. etc.) for these sorts of practices since they first launched iTunes etc.0

I was out at the cash machine today changing the pins for my cards. I was able to do 4 cards before a large queue of people started gathering to use the machine.
I have to change all of my pins to something more memorable because it's getting impossible trying to remember 11 different pins. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Actually, Wizzywig has made me drool somewhat with those specs for the HTC he mentioned...
Actually mate the RAM was slighty wrong, but only slightly. Either way you could run a PC on those specs
http://www.htc.com/www/product/desire/specification.html - for full spec, its a beast of a phone :T0 -
I was able to do 4 cards [STRIKE]before a large queue of people started gathering to use the machine.[/STRIKE] before the police started asking questions
There - fixed it for youfor full spec, its a beast of a phone
It certainly is! I'd already had a play around with one of the older HTC phones and found it to be an enjoyable experience, although Niddy did have a bit of a point re. feeling plasticky0 -

Lets just say I found a way around the network locks on the 3G, then when I got my 3GS on Orange their was no need to unlock it.....I must admit I do like the whole structure of the iPhone, the apps etc are cool, but the Android market is catching up fast....and as its more open source, the apps will get better and better :eek:0 -

I think they have improved a lot in such a short space of time. I think due to branding etc, Apple (for the time being) will always have the upper hand, but HTC are making in roads. My mate has a G1, and its a horrid handset, but the latest batch of one out are amazing.
HTC are Android, and now EVERY market leader(Samsung, Sony Ericsson etc) are using Android in their phones, cos they want to challenge Apples market share....;)0 -
