Lloyds may refuse lending if you apply too much - just sit tight and build relationship with lloyds mate cos they use internal scoring and you can get a credit card etc without external searches....

Will it not be seen as something bad if you have too many current accounts?
By the way, I requested for Covestry BS first account application forms and it seems like they have already done and ID check on me. is that normal? They have scared the !!!!!! out of me lol

Now my searches are going against me
You should apply if you want it? TBH NID has over 50searches so you shouldn't get declined on searches.Bank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500

I just applied to BoC cos a couple of others did - as you've seen, I don't care - just apply for the sake of it.
I have a coventry first, coventry callsave moneymanager II (only came out for a month and give you a visa debit card); hsbc [STRIKE]plus[/STRIKE] advance; hsbc [STRIKE]advance[/STRIKE] bank account and my BoC....Will it not be seen as something bad if you have too many current accounts?
Nah, But I only use the 2 hsbc and coventry callsave accounts.... the BoC & First will just sit there as back-up's I think.... I use hsbc advance as my main account (wages in and dd's out etc) and transfer £2k into the hsbc bank account and spend this - then I just move £500 into coventry callsave and let my daughter use that card.By the way, I requested for Covestry BS first account application forms and it seems like they have already done and ID check on me. is that normal? They are extremely strict mate - they are not a plc so it is shareholders money = very very strict :eek:2010 - year of the troll

Urgh... IMHO Lloyds TSB are infinitely better than Barclays in every department, including:
Shorter queues in branch
Shorter queues on the phone
Fewer CRA checks with Lloyds (e.g. open second current a/c search free)
More pre-approved offers with Lloyds
Inland call centres with Lloyds
Better integration between their credit card wing and current account wing
No need to have a card reader to use online banking
Barclays offer Full Auth Visa (4658) on Current A/C by default, Lloyds don't
There's more, thats all that springs to mind at the moment!!Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
