But obviously 1 search is better than 3 in a week lol - i'm saying if thats all youve applied for then you'll be ok..... if you have 12 already then forget it...

I got nothing for Equifax for the whole year and 5 for Experian for the yr( 1 within the last 6 months).
I should be fine then. Thanks:j

Yes mate you should be fine, in that you will not be declined due to searches. :D

If Equifax is empty then you need to be looking at Amex, Flybe or Silver card IMO....

All my accounts are new then lol. I would stay away from MBNA. It's their loss lol
  • To apply for tesco or not??????

My reasons for thinking not to are as follows

    * 18 Active accounts (Aim to have reduced this to 7 within the next 3 months)
    * Approx 8-10 Searches within the last 6 months
    * Balances showing on accounts that I have now cleared

well wait 6 months matey - thought your Experian was good, if not then don't waste the search - either way, wait 6 months now or apply then wait 6 months, same difference right? lol :rotfl:

Miles - amex isn't that hard apparently - a few people here have one, or post office is another to consider (equifax search as Bank of Ireland) :p

Really? I am apply shy lol. Scared of rejection lol. Anyway, nothing ventured nothing gained so i gotta get off my back side and make some applications.

So now I have Tesco, M&S, Post Office and Amex to consider. When you say PO search Equifax, do you mean they use them solely or they search both Equifax and Experian?

    Thanks mate:T

PO can search both. The only two that exclusively search Equifax are Barclaycard and Sygma Cards (JJB, Flybe, Silver, Accessory)
