Some lenders say you can only reapply after 3-6 months if you've been declined but I heard of people reapplying after a month and getting approved! I read it from someone on one of the forums here. The person said it was with barclaycard.

    Yup - you got me!

Excuse me - that is an a very opinionated and incorrect assessment actually. If you don't understand unenforceability please leave it - don't get embroiled in the finer details but suffice to say it IS NOT IRRESPONSIBLE it is there to protect you against lenders that think they are above the law.

I am sure you do not need me to sit here and explain it to you so please be careful what you're saying, maybe in your opinion it is whatever - but not to me and a legion of followers :D:D

There will always be a difference of opinion on that one.

I know the process and finer details and spent many many nights / weeks reading some of the lengthy cases from beginning to end over on Consumer Action Group and feel I am very well briefed in the field. (Obviously not as well briefed as a lawyer but certainly some of those threads were 60+ pages long and had case details from beginning to end).

I understand that many credit agreements are legally unenforcable and wholly appreciate why a massive amount of people feel they need to exercise their legal right under the "act" to have the agreement declared as unenforcable if it is.

I personally acknowledge the fact that this process is legally bona fide but as you are plentifully aware yourself, the other field of thought is that disregards the law in it's truest sense and sees the law more as a tool to support the morally and ethically correct thing to do.

I shan't try to sway your view, and I am sure you won't try to sway mine, we have different fields of thought with regard to our view on the Unenforcability route, and I think it's best we leave it at that. Mutual respect for each others, individually valid outlook, and not interfere

    Coolies?

  • Evening all,

Has anyone in this thread bought a laptop/pc on finance recently? Are there lenders who are more sympathetic than others?

V12 appear to provide finance for a few companies, what are they like?

Are Dell 'easy' to get finance from?

I notice Apple use Barclays Partner Finance; would the fact that I have a full Barclays Current Account and a Barclaycard aid the application?

    Cheers,
    MF
