NID, how are rbs/natwest in dishing out CG cards?

They give them but cheques will be gone soon, get used to having normal cards lol....

as for Cash Flow post above, hbos do give a pre-approved overdraft but not like pre-approved loans/credit cards like barclays/lloyds etc..... just to clarify my point on that one. :D

Hbos have what is called a guaranteed overdraft meaning one day it could show £250 the next it could show £750 but whatever, if you click apply then it is guaranteed to be given. :p

(EDIT: Niddy, did you get as far as a card being send out before AVU had you? Was it CG?)

It was a servicecard £100 mate yep! Never even used it lol...... bummer.

But they score harder now, in that they are issuing a lot more of the purple full auth cards, and it is usually 6 months for a new customer before an upgrade from the (old version of solo) to servicecard :D:D

They changed a lot lately mate - got stricter too, thus no credit cards for non banking customers, reminds me of my bank (HSBC)!

I have held my account with Halifax for about 4 months and I now have a pre approved O/D of £1900.00:D

If they don't give you one when you open the account (they usually do, it's not hard to pass their CG score) they will send one out after three months of excellent account conduct without a search ;)

Thanks guys. i do want the full package of preapprovals as i hate credit searches lol.
I like my cheques and have always used them for the best part of the last 2 score years and I am gutted that they are being phased out.

I will enjoy them why it lasts though lol

    i am on it:)
  • Looks like they have removed the Guaranteed OD part of Hfax online banking

    at least on mine anyways
  • not sure if i should close down some of my credit cards or not
  • kilasuit HBOS have removed it on mine as well and I know mine was 1900 pounds (and they won't give me a credit card ?!) I'm not too concerned because I wouldn't want that much. Also considering their daily charge - no chance!
