Hbos have what is called a guaranteed overdraft meaning one day it could show £250 the next it could show £750 but whatever, if you click apply then it is guaranteed to be given.

It was a servicecard £100 mate yep! Never even used it lol...... bummer.

But they score harder now, in that they are issuing a lot more of the purple full auth cards, and it is usually 6 months for a new customer before an upgrade from the (old version of solo) to servicecard

They changed a lot lately mate - got stricter too, thus no credit cards for non banking customers, reminds me of my bank (HSBC)!

Thanks guys. i do want the full package of preapprovals as i hate credit searches lol.
I like my cheques and have always used them for the best part of the last 2 score years and I am gutted that they are being phased out.

I will enjoy them why it lasts though lol

Looks like they have removed the Guaranteed OD part of Hfax online banking

at least on mine anyways

kilasuit HBOS have removed it on mine as well and I know mine was 1900 pounds (and they won't give me a credit card ?!) I'm not too concerned because I wouldn't want that much. Also considering their daily charge - no chance!
