Well the Bank of Cyprus are certainly hot on thier communication skills -
Dear Mr Benoit,
We regret to inform you that on this occasion we are unable to proceed with your application.
Well that was well thought out & intimately detailed. LOL :rotfl:0 -
Hi everyone,
MBNA - stay away lol.
I got an outright decline for the MBNA classic credit card. I guess they are harsher than we thought. so guys be warned! I think anything MBNA is hard to get. It didn't hurt as much as being dumped though lol.
Thing is, i thought my credit file was good - no credit searches since july and no adverse. only limited history, just 11 months old.
Of course CRAs dont know that I was in debt by nearly 42k as of 2000.
I got myself into huge debts in 1998/1999 and by 2000 i just couldn't function so moved abroad until 2006 when i returned.
I never applied for anything when I came back until last yr which means it had been about 9 yrs since i last had contact with creditors.
None of my previous debts is listed on my credit report as i never had to give those addresses.
I dont think it will ever catch up with me. well i hope not lol0 -
How many credit cards do you have Miles30? When MBNA gave me a Classic card I had about 16 months history on two cards and a store account. I'd opened a mobile contract about six months prior, too.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

I have 2 credit cards. Barclaycard is 9 months and crappy 1 is 8 months old.
I have 7 credit accounts on credit file including 2 settled. settled are APS Cashplus credit builder and 1 barclays account.
Among the active accounts include 2 current accounts and 1 pay monthly mobile contract. Non of my accounts is less than 8 months old.0 -

Nah, its when I get accepted I think 'oh, that was ok - but why did I apply for it, I really don't need it' :rotfl:
Ive had over 500 searches in the last year and have 7 live accounts - trust me mate, declines are second nature! Although i've decided, from Feb 2010 i'm going to apply for nothing until next February and then see what happens when I apply....
I do tick all the boxes, just my false cifas and many searches that go against me. I have £6k of available credit, earn more than that a month, have a 70% LTV mortgage in one the desired places to live and owe - ermm, £26 to JD Williams - well I did (i'm going to pay it now lol while I remember)....
So by my logic, my declines are based solely on the searches and false cifas data - that's all that is wrong!2010 - year of the troll

You really have the potential of having the perfect credit rating if u can stay away from the apply button lol seeing u dont really need all that credit.
staying away from the apply button will be harder than asking a fat boy to stay away from chips lol. just kidding.
I bet u will apply for the al qaeda credit card when it goes on sale next month lol.
funny, being accepted bothers u more than being declined lol. I get really really upset when i get declined haha.0 -
NID, why do you need credit if you're earning £70k a year... :eek:0
