STAN JAMES (GIBRALTER)-192BUSINE , a Third party company, has made an inquiry against your credit report on 29/01/2010 . If you were not aware of or did not consent to this search, contact STAN JAMES (GIBRALTER)-192BUSINE or Equifax for clarification.
BANK OF CYPRUS , a Bank company, has made an inquiry against your credit report on 03/02/2010 . If you were not aware of or did not consent to this search, contact BANK OF CYPRUS or Equifax for clarification.
As they are both worded the same I assume they both are full searches....in which case, I didn't give those stan james clowns permission to search me! Well it might be hidden in the T&Cs under paragraph 5 subsection 4.7, but as I'm not applying for any kind of credit, and all bets have to be placed with cleared funds, !!!!!!!?
Zack do you use your main current account to fund your matched betting?0 -
Zack do you use your main current account to fund your matched betting?
I've got the Halifax current one that I've used quite a lot to make it seem actual for when I appeal my decline (plus that card has never been rejected), and used my A&L Prem U21 (which is a full account it seems). It's mostly the last 2 I use. How come is that bad? The way I'm going I wouldn't get approved with anyone else!
Oh and when lenders search you, can they see who else has. E.g. Tesco and Stanjames or something, because the last one, might not be to do with credit cards, but if they do everyone lenders will know it's not for credit reasons so discount it? Rather than see, for example, 4 searches and assume it's 4 full credit searches....0 -
I don't have a "main" account. Well I guess the Natwest Student one is my main one, I've used that for general betting before, and some matched stuff, but they blocked a massive deposit the other day (fraud prevention I assume), so haven't used that since.

I know that gambling is frowned upon by banks.
So if you are using your current account for gambling then it will be flagged and noted against your banking records.
Gambling equals high risk;)0 -

Well there are a few lottery winners who would disagree
Lottery only costs £1 for each ticket.
Some people bet ridiculous amounts of money on horses and other stuff, loose it all and continue betting and don't know when to stop. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Yes but you could by a 1000 lottery tickets if you choose to as there is no upper limit.
You can also put £1.00 on a horse, I don't see any of types of gambling mentioned above as any worse than each other.0
