TheEffect, whats a 99 marker?0
-
I like Lloyds and would rate them up there with HSBC. Their telephone banking is great and I've always found their staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately their internet banking isn't the best, and they would never give me credit as I had a 99 marker on my account stating no credit could be given. They are definitely a good bank though.
Dood, gutted. Thanks for the feedback though! Makes me feel not so bad about HSBC not even wanting to give me a cash account
Out of interest, was the adverse on your current address?
It's just that I don't have the 99 marker, and the only reason I can figure why is that my current address has nothing but positive history.... Three addresses ago is where all my adverse is.... ?
EDIT: jdcjon - Lloyds flag some accounts with "99-Credit Policy Decline" if their CAIS (Credit Account Information Sharing) system picks up on adverse data from other creditors if the customer has fallen into arrears or defaulted on another agreement. It prevents that customer from obtaining further credit facilities from the bank until the CAIS system picks up that the adverse data has gone.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

I have no adverse. The marker was likely placed there as I've had an account with Lloyds since I was 15 and the marker had never been removed even though the account had been closed and a new one opened.0

Hey all, Been reading this thread for a while, some excellent info here!
Right, I've got a bit of a problem. I've got an account with Very with a £250 credit limit, I've ordered stuff before by putting it on my account and it worked fine but whenever I try to order anything now and put it on my account, a few hours later under "track order" it'll say "credit rejected". Why is that when I still have £221 to spend on my account?
It's the same even if the order is for £2 or £200+.
Can anyone help?0 -
Your account may have been withdrawn or your limit slashed. You will have to give them a ring.0
-
How can it be withdrawn? everything is still showing up as it should, next statement date, payments that need to be made, balance, etc and my limit is still £250 and has been for the past week0
-
I don't know but it seems odd you get the message "credit rejected" when you have available credit. You really would need to ring them0
