Haha, thanks you two!! Doesn't make a difference in the long run because I've now decided I almost certainly won't be here next year, just attending exams etc so that I do have the option, if I wanted to take it.... Thought this was a certain fail, so nice to pass some bits though I suppose :p

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!?!? Are you at Oxford or something!? :p I thought 40% was standard pass rate for first year stuff, whatever uni you go to!?!? That's the impression everyone here seems to have anyway!

Some it's easier to fluke 40% in (like this exam) but others it's a lot harder to do well (the actual coding stuff) so then it's very lucky it is only 40%, they mark so harshly on that!

I have an exam next month and it starts at 70% - 80% for a C grade, 80%-90% for a B and anything above for an A.

I've been studying computing for the past few years and I'm starting to passionately hate it.

So D is fail? Ouch! We don't have that, we had like D-, D, D+ etc. Anything under D- is fail, they don't tell us what %/how many questions we need to get right to get what though, just 40% to get D-. I think next year ours would become more like that, hence my eagerness to get out now!

100% on Access practical a few months ago is my highlight (although I did a 10 hour exam on Access at 6th form, so this was easier and obviously I'd do it easily!!) , not surprised you are starting hate it, so am I!:p

Good luck next month!! :) What course are you doing? Computer science or something else?

Applied Computing. I'm focusing more on the software development side but it is incredibly boring. I wish I choose another career.

Yea. I don't think HSBC, Barclays or A&L use Equifax for current account.

IME HSBC search Experian and Equifax. When I applied for my Barclays current account they searched Experian, with my OH they searched Experian and Equifax. (And subsequently declined him for a cashcard account. He defaulted on a barclayloan seven years ago - thought it wouldn't matter being so long ago - apparently it does...

Barclaycard searched Call Credit when I asked them to drop my APR, and Equifax when I opened the account.

    A&L is just Experian AFAIK.

Ah cool, yea see what you mean! Computing is sooooooooo dull education wise, but as a career I think it's going to be great so thats why I want to quit this place and try and work my way up without a degree!

Just completed my appeal to Halifax :P. Just going over to print and post it in a bit, will see what happens!

    Woohoooo!!!

Been accepted for a Vanquis card with £250 limit! :D

Can't believe my luck, two credit cards in two days!

Now how long do I leave it before I try for a Littlewoods account again? :rotfl:
