I just applied for a 3 sim only plan. It is a contract but there is no line rental as you only pay for the texts and minutes you use. I will not be using it but will keep it for some nice green zeroes.

Another £100 off my Ulster Bank card. They are all reducing nicely! Hopefully by this time next year I'll be debt free.

Just an update on where I am with my catalogues and Vanquis etc...

Well after two payments to JD Williams they increased my credit limit by £50 to £200. Jacamo have not done this yet as I have only had one statement had to make a payment on, so in theory I have had the account two months but only had to make one payment.

I got my Vanquis statement, had spent £181 with a DD set up to take the minimum amount, this leaves on or around the 28th of this month, however I also just paid £182. Luckily I had the direct debit set up or this £182 payment would not have gone onto my account on the 3rd, thus I would have been making a late payment (crafty !!!!!!s). But she said my payment date is the 28th, and my direct debit for minimum amount leaves on the 28th so that is classed as a payment that is on time :-)

A few month ago, my sisters bank balance was £0.00. She wondered if she was still able to buy things from the internet, despite her balance being zero and me telling her it was a bad idea.

So she ordered something from eBay for £1 and paid with her card through PayPal. All went fine and she was happy that she was able to buy without any money in her account. When she checked her online banking, no surprises that she was charged the £1 plus £28 in fees each month her account was overdrawn.

Now, her account is £190 something overdrawn, all because she wanted this £1 item from eBay. I tried to tell her but she wouldn't listen so I let her go ahead with the purchase, to teach her a valuable lesson.

She can't afford to repay the charges in a lump sum, so shes spoke with the bank and they've put her on an arrangement to pay thing. Now she's ruined her credit rating and got lots of charges.

Some people will never learn. :)

Why not pay down your Vanquiis first as I am sure the APR is

I run Windows 7 on my laptop and man desktop PC, strange on really, on desktop XP was slow, and Windows 7 is so very fast in comparison!

On laptop XP was very fast, and Windows 7 is roughly the same, if not slower!

Either way it is awesome, and I would recommend it to anyone :D

    'Afternoon all.

RE: Windows 7, I've got it on my netbook and desktop PCs and love it. I skipped Vista. Used it for about a fortnight and went back to XP.

I'm amazed how well 7 runs on my netbook - it's only got an Atom 1.6GHz processor and 1.5GB of RAM but it still flies with what I use it for. Even Aero Peek runs without a hitch.

RE: Three Sim Zero, mine is turning up today. I purchased a ZTE F102 for it, too. If you sign up for Quidco you get £18 cashback for the £29.99 ZTE F102 from Three.co.uk

I figured I'd better make at least one chargeable call each month otherwise they may disconnect the line for non use. As you say - extra free green zeroes FTW :D
