i've only ever complained to Mcdonalds once and it was for something really petty (they missed an item off an order when i was going through the drive through and i didn't notice till i got home). Anyway i was very impressed with them they apologised straight away and sent me a £10 pound Mcdonalds voucher, I am suprised they are not taking your complaint seriously as big companies like Mcdonalds tend to pride themselves on good customer service as to them the brand is everything.

Lucky you.....I got given a burger with only a bun lid once. When I went back to ask for the base, they took it off me, threw it in the bin and gave me another one. What a waste. They could have left me it so I could have had a double decker mcchicken sandwich as a token gesture for my inconvenience. :D

Really? They do take-outs? Oh yes, that's why I took an excited little five year old into the town, so he could have his happy meal shoved into a bag, then go outside in the rain to eat it. There's no hope.........

No need for sarcasm , I was just pointing out that is was a shame you left the food because you could have taken it with you. Instead you had a disappointed AND hungry little lad

Yeah I just emailed the head office as i couldn't be bothered going back to the store and they apologised straight away and sent me a voucher. Perhaps i just got lucky, i think stores are never going to give you anything as by and large people who work in Macdonalds are quite rude i find. Sounds like you had a bad experiance but i suppose they would argue you did get your burger it just took a long time which is why they didn't send you anything. I wouldn't be happy waiting 20 minutes for a big mac!

thanks for the point of i can still contact the H&S exce i may just do that

HSE don't enforce health and safety in resturants/food outlets - you'd need to contact the relevant Enviromental Health Office (numbers should be in the local phone book). But, to be fair - if you rang HSE, they *should* tell you that :)

  • um. i dont think that is 100% true im sure they do not mind a mother taking there toddler to the toilet. i think you will find that it is more like you now require a key so that some (not all) teenagers and groups of teenagers do not go in and wreck them

And its to stop the junkies going in to take their fix

That's true about the junkie thing. Our local Sainsburys had the same problem, so they moved the entrance to the toilets to a more visible spot.

Many McD's are franchises which may account for the variable customer serice.
