welcome mum2002, just talk about anything, i am the oldest here so usually on in the mornings, everyone else seems to come out at night:D

hello and love to everyone else xx
  • hi all

Sorry Ive been a bit quiet, busy busy busy and DS runs me ragged in the evenings! Not spoken to OH for 2 days. I sent 3 emails to old friends earlier in the week trying to get back in touch, no replies so maybe they have moved jobs - third one doesn't read her email that often. Bit sad about that, I might pay up to friends reunited to get their personal addresses or do you think they are ignoring me?

Had a long MSN chat last night with one of my closest friends - unfortunately she is living in Canada now so I don't see her but was great to chat, have arranged to phone her next week too. Also fingers crossed they may come back to UK, don't know where they would settle but it has to be closer than Toronto (actually would be within the M25 somewhere so not more than an hours drive). :D Really hope they do as I miss her so much.

Loved the photo of the moon Mclaren. Big thanks for the photo tips Rose, I can use them in my lessons!

Must do some lesson planning today. I put all my stuff on a website (I know links aren't allowed but its pass-ict.com) you can look and see which sections are blank and reprimand me if more info doesn't go on! I'm trying to finish the screen based publications section of the DiDA part today. Then tomorrow I want to wrap up the DiDA section and start on KS3 with year 7. I set really tough targets for myself and then miss them all! I can't believe half the holidays have gone and I haven't put one thing on there.

Here is one good picture that I took on holiday, DS at a Norwegian fountain. Now everybody say aaaah how can you not want to spend all your time with that angel.....

Afternoon all. Welcome Mum2002. Gorgeous pic KP :)

Not much happening with me at the moment. waiting for my broadband to be connected at home. Sneaking on at work int he meantime.

Oh..... if anyone listens to Capital Radio during the daytime, keep your ears open next Friday at 12.30ish. Me and my team at work have got through to play the donut game :D

James Cannon called me yesterday at work to say we'd got through and that we will be on next friday. He is going to call me at 12.30 and then we will be on air approx 12.35/12.40....

We have to get 5 questions correct in 60 seconds to double our donuts. I'm so excited but very nervous about sounding like a !!!! on the radio as i am the spokesperson :D

Hello mum2002 groupwave.gif nice to have you join the crew. Don't be scared!! we are all very supportive here and have vast knowledge of all sorts.

KP - he looks like a little devil. :D I love my kids, but I also love to have alone time. It's all about getting the balance. Enjoy him at this age, when they love you unquestioningly (is that a word?). When they reach their teens it all me, me, me, me and you become a walking purse and chauffer.

Messy - I'm very glad you have a little sun, here it is overcast and drab. I feel like eeyore-small.gif Summer seems to have disappeared. So I have a new plan.....

I'm going to put on my indismilie.gif outfit and go snail.gif hunting. Was inspired by the F word the other night. Someone started a thread about it, giving some more info. so it's of to my over grown damp garden. I'm sure the kids will come out and help me. It's MSE free gourmet food. Can't wait.

Please pop round, I have loads and will pay you to clear them away! I also saw the F word and wondered if harvesting them and sitting in the garden eating them would send the rest running! Mind you I'm a veggie so it really won't work. Would get them back for chewing on my garden though!

what a really nice shot kp - caught the moment well there for the family album :p

zcass - i know what you mean - i wasnt enspired about the f word but ive been looking for veil for a while cos its a reallynice meat but no place sells it apart from my butcher - i hope i can get it in tesco soon now to save me going 2 miles up the road lol.

cc - still on windup? i hate wind up, hence i love my superfast 4mb broadband - 80 times faster than windup :D

rose - why on garden duty if cold? ahhhhh nice n warm here :p

messy - your right about people coming here to say hi and never coming back - its sad :(

urbs - do you mean like syncronised swimmers? :D

    hi to every1 else :D
Never do things tomorow when you can do them today.
  • Mclaren I was fascinated by the article on veal, as a vegitarian I've not taken too much notice except that its cruel and lots of people won't eat it. They do sell it in Waitrose though and I've seen it "red stickered" (Waitrose ARE cheaper - they reduce more!) loads of times and thought about cooking it for OH, well hes' gone now but I might let DS try it next time.

I'm veggie cos I don't like the taste, people find it strange that I have no aversion to meat - I even used to cook rabbit regularly for one ex.
