  • Hi all!
No wonder you can't find any snails in bonnie Scotland isn't the ground frozen? They all hibernate in the winter. They will pop out around May and you may see one or two in the less cold months.;) :rotfl:
However, we have far too many. My mum goes around stamping on them (yuck) as they climb through the kitchen window. So come down here, bring ya shorts and take as many as you can.
I am no veggie but I hate it when animals are driven for miles in lorries by people who have no training in animal welfare. I bred sheep for a while. We took them to the local abbotoir. On one hand it was desperately hard, they were my lambs; on the other I would prefer to eat and endorse animals who have lived a perfect life and not even got old. Also the ram lambs started to kill eachother. After 3 seasons we took the ram to the abbottoir and the ewes died of old age. No more lambs.:o Oh also comes from a smallholding background. Trouble is he would eat anything. If we keep chickens they willbe eaten by him. I want them as pets. I say if we have to eat the pets we start with the dog.
Hi Mum can't call you that you will me M2 because i am lazy.Welcome from me too. KP your pic is lovely. He is a small monster. Bring him round.

I worked very hard with Nick this morning. She gave in in the end and we were cantering round and round the school better than we had for months. It took a lot of shouting and a few bucks from her as she just wouldn't go forward as she is meant to. Better leg yielding (making her step sideways as she goes forward crossing her legs) but crappy turns on the forehand (turn around back legs moving front legs staying in the same place). Then as she was so hot it was bathtime. She trashed the hose by stamping on it. Then she stood in the sunshine whist I cleaned her tack:A .
Sounds like the move is on for Tuesday. OMG:eek: .Looking forward to looking out of the window and walking the dog. I think I should make you all read Cider with Rosie as your homework. No chatting on here until you have read the first few chapters. I had to read it for O'level.
    Take care all!!!!!!

  • I have eaten sea snails. As Crocodile Dundee said..."you can live on it but itastes like.....!!!":p
BTW love Scotland and I hope nobody is offened by my jibes about the weather. It just seems that every time I go it is freezing.:o I went for 2 weeks in a caravan when I was a child. It rained the whole time. I love Edinburgh and would love to get to know Glasgow. Love the architecture. I have been to Edinburgh in the sunshine.
Donuts delivered.....I could cope with that. Ate some hot fresh ones at Blenheim last year in the pouring rain. They were to die for.:j

  • :D Zombiecass PM me your address and I will send you a wiggling package!:rotfl: :j :rotfl: :j :rotfl:

seriously water the garden, put down beer and out the blighters will come. I have a watering can next to some pots and whenever I go to use it out come the snails!

OK, how many holes should I poke in my tupperware to let them breathe? Should I wrap in brown paper rather than bubble wrap..:rotfl:
The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j
  • Gosh Twink that was quick!!! Do you knit as quickly as you read?
