I like to put our tree up 4 weeks before Christmas an every year my husand says it's too early and he won't get the decorations down from the loft. So i just tell him that if he doesn't get them down, I'll buy a whole new lot - works every time!0

People are gonna think my family are mad but a few years ago, we had the Christmas tree up from September!
Me and my lil bro came over from the Philippines the year before that and we missed everything so much that we couldn't wait to celebrate Christmas already as it's usually one of the merriest days of the year. We didn't put the Christmas lights outside 'til December though so no-one else from the outside knew how over-excited we were!0 -
We normally put the tree a week or so before christmas day, and is taking down on either the 1st or 2nd of January. Me and the kids normally make decorations and hang them up around the house over the house before the tree goes up. My OH is a real humbug and hates the whole idea but i always say its for the kids not us.
Quite a few people have them up already, just pure madness.0 -
oh forgot to say, we take ours down on the 2nd Jan without fail as its OHs and my birthday in the following few days and i hate it being lumped in wth christmas / new year0
