  • Start writing out those cards now or they'll never be delivered by Christmas Eve! Most people start sending them out in the first week of December but you can do as you please.

In our home the Christmas tree and decoration were put up the weekend before Christmas but again, you can do as you please

Isn't it supposed to be up 12 days before and down 12 days after? (For the tree obviously.)

In reality it depends on how festive I'm feeling. If we have a stress free house, ours goes up on the 1st of December, if we're stressed out (usual ) then it goes up around the 15th.

Last couple of years I've left the cards so late there's been no point in sending them. :o

Ours is/was always the weekend before Christmas, and cards sent at the start of December.

My birthday is at the start of December and I hate my birthday cards having to share space with Christmas tat! ;)

I noticed my first decorated house last Monday - just around the corner. Can anyone beat 17th November?

You are thinking of the 12 days of Christmas... which is up on Christmas Eve down on Jan 5th depending on lots of Church traditions... we always put ours up on Christmas Eve cos I can't stand the things to be up for too long... sometimes it comes down before 12th night depending on my mood...

  • Its two weeks before and two weeks after, but for many people they just put them up when they want to, If i was you I'd start sending Christmas cards now just to make sure they don't get caught up in the rush for Christmas. Some of us spend days putting the decs up and all outside the house two.
