For anyone in the Yorkshire area there does seem to be stock at Leeds Crown Point, Castleford and York this evening.

I have had a DC04 for a year or two and have been a bit disappointed with it by comparison with the DC01 which it replaced. I am tempted at this price to go uo to the 07.

Picked mine up yesterday as a replacement for a 5 year old base DC04.

The carpet had just been hoovered by my wife (go figure, she knew the new one was arriving!) but I obviously wanted to try out the new one to make sure it worked and I was horrified to discover how much dust it picked up from the supposedly "cleaned" carpet.

Now it could be the old one was just past it, but the difference was absolutely amazing.
if i had known then what i know now

  • Hi 1st post here :o
Tried to get one on Monday but everywhere around Teesside out of stock, tried again about 18:20, redcar branch had stock, reserved and picked up Tuesday, looks like some people reserved and didnt pick up, and like everyone else we already had a DC02 around 9 years old...!!!...still worked fine and cleaned the carpets or so we thought, after unpacking and setting up the new DC07 hoovered downstairs and was horrified to see the amount of dirt picked up by the beast on a clean carpet.....TOP TIP thanks goto original poster

    I got one last week.

Unfortunately when I turned it on a bit of plastic broke off from somewhere. I am hoping it was from the brush part as I can see a mark where something has broken off. I was going to get a replacement but they were never in stock again.

I am very happy with it though. It is much better than my old DC04.
