discontinued or not it still works mighty fine........and much better than my knackered (and inferior) dc01 which cost, if I remember correctly, £150 8 years ago!! - the wonders of modern manufacturing at its best

That may be so, but if it lasts, lets say, 5 years then....
132 / 5 = 26.40 a year.... I could break it down further but just looking at that figure... I think this is a very good bargain and a known brand.
