Good Morning all, still snuffly and sneezy at the moment, still at least it will be out of the way by Christmas, hopefully.I was due to do the school run today but DD rang to say her days had been altered, so I don't have to go out on them until tomorrow. Not sorry really, as its very wet and windy and the teachers let the kids and Mums stand in the playground until the last possible minute, and theres no shelter there for anyone.DD says she will pop round after she's dropped the kids off, for a coffee and a chat.I feel very achy today I think it must be the rain ,perhaps I'm going rusty :)
I'm just going to potter about today, no housework, as I just don't feel that energetic.Hope everyone who is having a birthday has a great one todayand <<hugs to those who are feeling a bit down and blue>>
I may sit and sort out my craft stuff this afternoon.I have such a lot and its in boxes all over the place, needs a good de-cluttering.
    take care evryone
    JackieO xx
P.S. braised beef for dinner tonight, I did a casserole yesterday so I have it two days running ,but it was so delicious that I don't mind at all.

    Morning everyone,

Not as hot here today which was much more pleasant. I was up early though as I tend to do this in summer and get any big chores done in the cooler part of the day & then sort of do nothing all afternoon :D and then have a second wind later on. DH has man flu so I hope he keeps it to himself.

I've still got heaps of cherry tomatoes left in the garden so I'll do some picking tomorrow. Sorted out our holiday insurance this morning as well & a few other things. Had corn & bacon pancakes & veggies for tea followed by an iceblock & 2 plums. :D DH brought some home from the markets today. All the stone fruit are in season. I love nectarines as well.

Sarah Happy Birthday. Enjoy your day.
Tired Mum Why not follow him with a torch and camera. :D Stalking is healthy.
MSD That could have been a problem. I know Haribo likes those PM's. ;)
moiliere Those lingering ones are the worst. Maybe by the weekend you should be much better.

Well catch up with you all later. Hope you have a happy day. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Oh my day just got a bit better. There have been big posters up all around town for the new film..New Moon. So I did some research and found out what company was putting them up at the bus stops etc. I sent them an email first thing this morning and got a reply saying a little while ago saying they had extra's and that I can have 1 of each poster for free  if I wanted them. All I have to do is come and pick them up!! :T Happy days hehe.

    Morning all,

Wild and wooly here too. Starting to regret my decision to bother straightening my hair and wear it down today  Never mind I have a hood on my coat!

Have just spent an hour sorting and updating the family's xmas lists and then redistributing. They totally do not appreciate all the work that goes into it. I don't mind really, but it would be nice to have one of them thank me for the effort once in a while...

Am going out on my lunch break to see if I can source the aftershave that DH wants for a more reasonable price than it is in Boots. Does anyone know of any good fragrance websites?

Tea tonight is going to be cooked by DH (he doesn't know it yet!) so will most likely be either egg, chips and beans or pizza and garlic bread. Vegetables don't feature highly on a DH menu :p

Vastsarah - have a very happy birthday!
Nordictat - enjoy your shopping trip - post on here if you get lost or anything and I will direct you I'll only be round the corner :D
JackieO - sorry DGS didn't get the job he was after - fingers are still crossed for DGSGF
Get well soon all who are poorly

    Have a nice day, (((((huggles)))))

    xx

Question for ya...should I take a taxi to my hotel from the East Croydon train stop? It will be dark and I don't know the area so....staying at the Express by holiday inn next to the Cen. shopping centre.

    Morning all!

Well yesterday turned out to be awful! I am so not ever gonna say that things can only get better, cos that's invariably a cue for them to get a whole lot worse! Me and oh came to an inglorious end! Cue much weeping and wailing. That was the morning! The afternoon wasn't much better, got some results from doc and off for a scan in a bit as urgently needed! The evening was no fun as I got to work and was violently sick and had to be sent home - think it may have been the stress rather than a bug, but who knows!

So fingers crossed everyone please that today is a whole lot better! Scan then meeting a friend for a cuppa and a cheer up for both of us as she's been having a poo time recently, and then off to see my newly ex oh, got some bits to sort out. Feel really heartbroken that it didn't work out, but we are going to stay friends, something new for him as he doesn't have any contact with any of his ex's, me I stay friends with everyone! Anyway if I hadn't planned on him staying in my life permanently as a friend at least then I would never have let him become involved with my kids. Kids were lovely last night when I told them about it, dd3's teddy cried though!

Anyway, scan, cuppa and then my new friend (anyone got any suggestions for abbreviations I can use to refer to him!). Not a lot of os will be done as that will take time and I still feel icky.

Have tidied round and done pots and S&S the kitchen, sorted out animals and thrown in some washing, just need to think about dinner, wish I knew where the meal plan had vanished, sigh! Last night the kids had bacon and chicken wraps with tons of salad and salsa and mayo, made by dd2 who used up the remainder of the wraps that I'd got for her exam, she then made choc biscuits as a snack for everyone for later, bless her!

Lunches today: cheese and carrot sarnies, choc biscuits a la dd2, apple, raisins

Dinner: may well be some sliced sirloin I spotted in kitchen freezer earlier, quick and easy, will do with mini roasties and carrots, sprouts and cabbage - gonna be a windy night in Somerset!

Have a good day all, will hopefully catch up later, and happy birthday vastsarah xx

Probably tbh. You could walk it in the same time it'll take the taxi due to the fact that the majority of Croydon is either pedestrianised or one way, but that hotel is really tucked away so I doubt it'll be easy to find. Plus you'll be safer in a cab (you have to go down a very quiet street to get there and this is not a good idea in Croydon after dark!)

    HTH xx
