Lets analyse this.
Posted one day.......lets suppose a Tuesday.
Received cash in cash the next. Lets suppose Wednesday.
So, posted on Tuesday, at best would be received by HGM on the Wednesday. And then received cash on the same day. In cash? Was it couriered? Sounds like a c0ck and bullsh1t story to me.illegitimi non carborundum0 -

I used them for the first time recently, very happy and had no email about feedback. Cash is paid staight into your account the day they recieve your items so mine was also the day after posting special delivery.0

Not being funny but your wasting your time, mods aren't interested in clamping down on this thread, it's been done to death already and nothing happened.
The powers-that-be checked with me after my posting.
When people talk about getting the cash, they probably mean a "faster payment directly into their bank account" at noon the next day.
My only misgiving is that some post office insider might manage to intercept the packages.0 -
Sent some gold sovereigns and the money was in my bank account less than 24 hours from posting. A brilliant, no-fuss service.0

I checked various local outlets (gold shops and jewellers) last week and my best offer was £155.
I decided to give Hatton Garden Metals a try after reading some of the reviews on here, and sent off two items (I had weighed at 17g with an online approx of £201) last Friday afternnon.
I recieved an email about an hour ago telling me that the items had been received and valued at £197.60 (16.7g weight)
It cost just over £5 to send them the items via special delivery so I have ended up with £36.50 more than if I had accepted a high-street offer. The Daily Mail
Tagline - "Why let the truth get in the way of a story to incense Middle England"0 -
Have just sold a bracelet and a pair of evenings with Hatto Garden. I received exactly what they promised which was significantly more than other companies and two local jewellers. It was very straightforward and quick. I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.0

Hi Froggitt
We've used Hatton Garden Metals twice now. It does happen exactly as the poster says. Post in special delivery envelope, they receive it by lunch time the next day and the money is in the bank mid afternoon. The second time we also asked them to return anything they didn't want which they did and it turned up in a special delivery envelope the following day.
There is an explanation of why there are so any one off posters earlier in this thread, apparently there is a link to this thread on an email HGM send out.
I was very sceptical but it did work and they paid twice as much as the family member had been quoted at one of the we buy gold stands in town.
What I would say though to anyone using HGM is weigh carefully, they suggest kitchen scales but I would use post office scales or put in a slightly greater amount than registers on the kitchen scales.
Hope that clears some things up for you.0 -
I dont dispute they did what you say they did.
However, the number of "newly registered posters" with only the one post, who say "I love Hatton Garden Metals" is disproportionate to the real world....they are obviously not real accounts of dealings with HGM IMHO. These people never post again.
Its a bit like companies employing Chinamen or Indians to fool Google rankings with backlinks etc.
If anyone thinks this post is spam, Im sure they will report it. If not, they wont. And MSE will take their view on it. I'm sure everyone would prefer spam free listings and recommendations.illegitimi non carborundum0
