I just clicked the above link and bought the item. When you buy it you can tick the box saying "inform me of future deals" or something. That means you get future loyalty deals
But for now just use the link provided above!Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0 -
Hello
I'm very interested in this offer especially as it has now dropped another £30.
On paper, there is nothing to touch it for value, but can anyone let me know if it is lacking in anything important with regard to performance/features before I make a decision.
I am not too bothered with the lack of included Traffic Info, but I would like to use it in Europe, so I guess another SD card will be required to transfer the maps from the DVD/CD.
Is their choice of mapping providers good?
One feature I would like, is the ability to enter a new temporary 'base' location when on holiday/touring and then use the system to help return me to that 'stored base' at the end of the day. Is this a standard feature on most SatNavs?
Cheers

Thanks for those who responded above - another couple of questions, please.
Does anyone know if you get charged in Euros - I ask because at 1.45 euros to the pound (what you probably get from Nationwide) it works out at £192 - a real bargain !!!! Can anyone who has bought one confirm this.
Also does anyone know how much memory I'd need for say a trip to Italy - ie the top half of France, Switzerland and top half of Italy. I've heard that the larger the card, the slower it runs - does this really make a diffrence and therfore is it better to buy 2 x 256 cards instead of 1 x 512mb?

When you put it in your basket it is in Euros and you need to change it to sterling so you should be able to leave it in euros if you want.
I just checked my smartst v3 maps which should be the same as you get and the whole of the UK is only 150mb which are full maps so what you will be loading will be much less. I did not pay the extra for the Europe maps so although they are on my CD I can't access them unless I pay so can't tell you the exact size.
It wont run slower with a big card but it will run slower if you have too many maps in use. I have all of the UK maps on my pda but I only have the ones I'm using selected in the setup, You just go into setup and put ticks next to the maps you want to use. I am talking about my PDA based Navman but I expect it will be similar..0
