Wherever you look be it Tesco, Amazon or anywhere else you are going to be paying around £300, and that won't be with the european maps worth £100!

That's not right, they DO come with European maps.

Sorry, my bad I thought it was like the ICN 510/520 where it only came with UK maps :)

No worries - the offer is also rather misleading.

Sorry to be a further dunce, but the ability to have live traffic info sounds essential, so how does this work:

Live traffic update through optional module (subscription free)

How much is this module, and is it merely a software download, but then surely they would just install it as standard??

Thankyou BB for pointing out the mounting method :o

    Just found it I think - http://www.navmanstores.com/eu/product_details.php?category=Accessories&id=290 - £170 though
Only for the hardened commuter me thinks.

Looking at ... http://www.navmanstores.com/eu/product_details.php?category=Navman+GPS&id=362 ..., the traffic module for the icN 520 will be available the end of this month for £120 - a bit better - at least with this, you only pay once, unlike tomtom +!

Just found this after posting on the "which sat nav" link so i will ask again here....
If I take up this offer how do I get the european maps loaded on to the sat nav - do I need an extra memory card or something?
    Thanks

I've had a look at the Navman site and at the user guide for the 530 (HERE) and I can't find any mention of needing to upgrade the memory card to install more maps. However it does mention conserving memory card space when installing POI's so it may be a problem.

    The website states
'the iCN 530 comes complete with all European maps (with your local map pre-loaded)'
so it would seem that the European maps are not preloaded. E-mail them to find out if a memory card upgrade would be required. Memory cards are very cheap nowadays anyway. HTH.
  • Yes - you do need an SD memory card for the European maps unless you want to remove the UK maps. You can get them in any camera shop.

This offer is supposed to be for people registered with Pipeline card (fuel discount card). I received it with this morning's pipeline update e-mail.

If you want to take up this offer then I suggest you register with PIPELINE. It's free and could save you money on your fuel when up and running.

The Navman 530 is normally £299. with this deal you get the Navman 530 PLUS Euro mapping for £239 PLUS free delivery!

    Offer ends 30th June.

    Review HERE.

You have to purchase through this link to get this offer.

Edit: Upon closer inspection it seems that the 'Free Euro mapping' offer is a bit spurious as you get that as standard with the Navman 530 anyway. Also the free delivery is also naughty as you get free delivery on the Navman 530 on the Navman site too!. It's still cheaper than anywhere else as far as I can see however.

The Euromapping supplied with the standard unit will be "Major routes only " - this should include "street level mapping" - looks like a cracking deal - I'm very tempted.
