I haven't had an email yet  I guess this means I am not an annual membership winner. Has anyone received a confirmation email for the 3 month membership though? I am a tad worried now that I did something silly like missed a letter out of my email address in all the rush & F5-ing!

Sounds likely I'm afraid. If it's anything like last time you won't hear from them by email unless you've won, but you'll get the limited membership card through the post in a couple of weeks time...
  • Well I could not get one of these, no surprises there. Also I found out the 3-month special offer was added BUT ended at 9.00am this morning!! That is just plain crazy.

Here's an idea - not sure if anyone from MSE read these comments but here goes ...

Allow everyone to log their details during the day so there is no panic to all log-on at 12.00 and crash the system as usual.

Then the next day 2000 lucky people are selected. At least we all get a chance as long as it is a fair selection process.

maybe MSE could buy one of those Lottery machines and could go on national TV with a celebrity to press the button!!! (no that part was just plain silly!)

Hello MSE .... give us all a fair chance please.

    Well no, it's clearly not.

The competition was to be in the first 2000 to fill in the details at 12. The 3 month offer was basically goodwill to those who spent a long time trying to get on to do it - seems more than fair to me.

You had the same chance as everyone else - and you missed out. Better luck next time.
  • Agree with Bulletproof (above). Taste London have in fact given 4000 cards away (2000 in the way Ivanissuewiththis suggests above) and 3 month memberships to everyone else. Not quite sure how anyone can "avanissue" with that!
If they just did a draw everyone on here would cry foul and they'd probably just pick people who live in london for the cards wouldn't they? Think about it before criticising what IMO is a very good giveaway, you might not have an issue anymore......

PS I didn't win, but like the Murphy's, I'm not bitter

The three month one was added yesterday instead of a one month one. This was as a 'sorry' for the service. Very fair on the part of Tastelondon. As to the 9.00am deadline today, what was wrong with trying to log on yesterday evening?

Welcome to the site but please learn we all lose out on deals all the time. Thankfully some people gain and our time will come.

  • Oh What a pity I can`t have one, live too far.

    Martin question for you;

Is there something like this for SOUTH WEST?

Yeah Taste London only has Prezzo and tootsies (which I thought had gone into administration) in your area, if that's all your after there are codes on the restaurant discounts part of this site, so worth printing them off. Gourmet Society has independents in the south west, I'm doing their trial at the moment. Maybe there are other local cards, but I don't know about them if there are...
  • Lucky me, after my cynicism mentioned above about the last deal they promoted, I got an annual membership email through this morning which I'm delighted about. I got through about 12.30pm ish yesterday.

And had I not got through, I think the fact they added on another 2000 annuals for a lottery and a 3 month card for everyone else was one of the best examples of saying sorry with customer service I've ever seen or heard of. That's what it takes, "we cocked up, sorry, here's a generous fix..."

They also emailed that they're doing annual memberships for £29.95 with the promo code XMAS if anyone is interested, they last until 25/12/10.
  • How come if I got through at 12.23pm and haven't received an email to confirm annual membership yet people got through after that and got one - I thought this was done on first come first serve basis CLEARLY NOT!!!
