This is still my very favourite thread/ challenge
£148 off today AND lovely hard working husband got a £100 bonus :happyhearwhich means we don't have to dip back into the overdraft (I thought we would need £86 for one day on 12th). Although the overall total would have kept going down, the overdraft would have temporarily gone back up and now it that won't happen.Debt £26k 18/10/140 -

Hey all,
Just got back from a week away with school, had a lovely week doing lots of outdoor activities, ate like a horse and it was all free. Had no internet for a week so was very excited to get back and check on direct debits going out to pay bills! Woop!
My update for the month is £529.51 so far!
Quick question . . £5,500 of our debt is money we borrowed off the in laws towards our wedding. We'd agreed to start paying £200 a month from Jan but as yet they don't want it off us as they want to sort a new bank account to transfer it into. Oh wants to let it build up in our bills account as back up, I think we should save it so we can give them a bigger first payment when they're ready. Any thoughts?
xxWandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -
Hi All
Loumac - I would do your suggestion and keep it to one side. Otherwise the temptation is to spend it!
Shadydaz - is it ok if I give you an update for me at the end of the month? I have so many DDs I can't keep track, its much easier for me to do one total tot up at the end of the month.
Haven't been on for a few days again. Had a thing at hospital on Thurs - after 7 years of pain etc I have finally been diagnosed with Crohns disease. people keep telling me how sorry they are, but as far as Im concerned I've always had it, giving it a name doesn't make t more serious. And I can finally call it something and get treated woooooo!!!!
MOney wise I made a slight mistake of putting our weddi money in the joint account and some of it appears to have depleted... - should still have enough left for everything but I need to keep a much tighter reign on my spending and my budget.
Nevermind, I'm still learning
