  • lamarsi - I think we're all at a similare stage, we've counted all the payments at the begining of the month and now we're waiting for the end of the month to make more payments. It's frustraighting but hey you've over £1k in one month so you've only got another £9k and 12 months to manage it :j

    I'm off to call southern electric as they should have a rebate for me :j I really want to pay off my TV loan in the next 3 months. would make me very, very happy :T

    Whooo hoooo! Have just spent the morning going through all my old papers etc in the drawer and found an old account I had forgotten about. That's how bad my money management has been! :o
    £400 transferred straight out to pay off some of my credit card. :j

    Will update my sig in a minute.
    LBM January 2010 Debt £22,239.51 Mortgage £120,999
    10K in 2010 = £1520.48 15.2% LOAN = £11,819.92 / £1055.35
    CC1 = £940.57 / £67.06 CC2 = £2994.71 / £156.43
    CC3 = £3494.00 / £239.93 CC4= £2678.00 / £159.00 Mortgage = £120,999.00 / £0.00 [STRIKE]O/D = £126.81[/STRIKE]

    Hi All,

    Complete newbie here, but I have decided that this is the year to deal with my debts. :eek:

    Am I too late to join the challenge?:confused:

    Also how do I create a signature to keep track of my totals?

    Thanks

    You can do it any way you want really? If you want to pay off debt or save up money. Add it all up (prbably best to keep a running total somewhere) and let us know how you are getting on. Everytime up make a payment or bank some savings add it to the total.

    You could update your sig by doing the following:

    Go to User CP underneath where it says Welcome, emmie.
    On the left hand side of the new page will be a section titled Your Control Panel, in Settings and Options click on Edit Signature.

    Enter whatever info you want and save it. You can edit it any time you like by following the same steps above.

    Can i count the money i have payed towards debt too in my total to 10,000? As i am saving yet paying off debt at the same time. Have payed off £200 in debt already this year.

    You can give the the overall total of savings and debt repayments skaps, it all counts!

    I would say so yes, I made £72 today my first day on the 10k challenge but then I spent it paying off a Next catalogue balance, but I still made it and as its unlikely I will be able to keep all money made in the 10k challenge til end of year I guess its ok to use it for helping get out of debt along the way?

    Apologies victoriaplum1, it apperas I missed you. Now added:
