Hi all,
Have updated my sig today, unfortunately had to add on the total spent on cc (o%) as using for grocery shop, fuel etc. so that cash from salary will clear overdraft. Worked out this is quicker and cheaper than continuing to pay £1 per day for being overdrawn  still a bit gutted tho as seeing that total rising makes me feel sad. Hopefully, I will be able to clear the remaining overdraft with this months salary, so by the end of Feb things should be looking up (ever the optimist )
Take care everyone

Hi all
I feel very chirpy today.
I sold my car woo woo!!! £4,000! So the plan is, pay of Barclays loan (about £1,500 left), pay off interest free laptop (about £300) left. That alone frees up £190 per month! Then I'm going to take £500 so me and the fiancee have each got some spending money for our hen and stag dos without having to take it out of the joint account.
Then buy another car for about £1500 and see what's left. I will be naughty and keep a little for me as I've just lost a stone so could do with some jeans that fit!
Will update my sig as soon as I've got the cash from the buyer which should be Mon or Tues and will then go through my bank statement and work out what I've paid off by my normal payments.
Its a positive day!!! I'm feeling better today and should be back to work on Mon, but all this excitement has taken it out of me so Im off to bed!
Nite guys

Peetzil, I'm going to be doing the same thing - using the credit card for spends to bring down my overdraft. Normally I would be scared in case I spent on the credit card but kept the overdraft too, but this time I will be in control and it will bring the charges down.
I'm wondering if the best motivator for me would be just to have the overall figure in my sig, the breakdown will be depressing because the credit card will just go up and up.
Anyway, am going to check exactly how much I have paid, sorry I haven't posted this before, this is my first challenge and I didn't know how it worked.
How exciting - £30,000 collectivelyDebt £26k 18/10/140 -

Afternoon all,
So exciting to keep reading peoples progress! shadydaz thanks for keeping track, it really motivates me to think I'm contributing to those fabulous totals.
Nothing new to report from me but I do keep reading what you're all up to!
tlc123 sounds like you've got a plan, well done and good luck in sorting the stag and hen dos! I got married in October and wish I'd rediscovered MSE before and not after the wedding.
Payday for me isn't until 25th so lots will happen then hopefully.
xxWandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -
