hi all
potential setback - my dog that was spayed last week has a lump near the wound. After talking to the vet lastnight it might be a hernia. So we're off back up to the vet this morning in case she needs another operation. hmmmm....more money me thinks. Although obviously Mia being fixed is more important!!

I'm off sick this week which is a bit crap, but luckily I'm on salary so do get paid normal money regardless. There are some perks to working in the criminal justice system. Somewhere anyway...T x

Ah tlc123, pets eh? They bring us so much joy...and soooo much expense. We're a soft lot.

Updated my signature last night with the payments that come out at the start of the month. I wish I had done this ages ago, it is very heartening seeing the debt go down already (even if I suspect it will go up again before May and then go down again after that).

Very encouraging indeed.

I have just put my wages cheque in (yes, a cheque, very stone age!) and as soon as that has cleared i got some serious debt busting to do !!! very excited!!!!

Tlc123 sorry to hear about you dog - hope it was good news at the vets this morning. I am off this afternoon to a spa break with 2 friends for a 40th, so am feeling very lucky. Downside tho it was booked before my lightbulb moment, and paid for on the fantastic plastic :mad: have consoled myself with the fact that I won't spend while I'm there!!! Few payments due out of my account soon, so will be able to update my sig again

Roll on Friday when I get paid, this time I am paying it to MasterCard. Next Friday will be a lot more, so this should almost clear barclaycard next Friday. I can't wait.

:beer: Congratulations Lookingtothefuture, and well done for getting back on the forums so soon after the arrival of the little one, took me ages after mine was born to manage to turn on a computer and sit long enough to write an email!

Made £13.07 from two Amazon sales over the weekend:D, just sold another one today but will add the extra once I've sent it so can be accurate about the profit after postage. I hadn't sold anything for nearly 3 weeks on amazon so am very pleased. The one sold today I only put on yesterday! Wish I had more storage space so could buy books in bulk to sell...:rolleyes: the joy of living in London!

Just a quick question about selling on ebay/amazon

I have been waiting to sell the few bits and pieces I have because I assumed sales would not be so good in January when everyone's trying to cut back. Is this the case or is it in fact the opposite - that people are more likely to be bargain hunting at this time of year?

I feel like January is dragging so much. I have quite a few payments to make out of my wage this month so a bit about my savings taking a hit this month- is it sad that I have already worked out what I will be paying out in Feb already to see how much I can put away??

Also, have been hit with an underpayment in tax. Its not a massive amount, but again, will be taken off what I could have saved boo. I really wanted to hit £2000 this month. :goes off to find things to ebay:

I'm starting to think the main thing I want to be this year is credit card debt free... so my target is a little lower now at a little under $8,000 :cool:
