    morning gang!

really wanted to pay another, albeit small, payment today towards 10 in 10 target but my car broke last night

kept kangerooing down the road and not having enough powe to go passed 50MPH!!!! so im praying its just the spark plugs which my OH can fit for free which will only cost me £25, if not, January is going to be very expensive for me! :-( which will ruin my 10 in 10 plans!

    not happy Kipper today.
I have learnt from my in-debt days....never again!

I'm grateful in a way that mine died b4 the warranty runs out in 7 weeks time, otherwise i've no idea how i would have paid for it, it's costing around 3.5 k to get it breathing again and i haven't got that sort of money, it's my main income as well as my transport so i really would have been up the creek without a paddle then :(

Oh Amathea, she sounds like a typical "dream-stealer". My old dad used to say to me "shoot for the moon, because even if you miss you'll be amongst the stars". Its so true, and if we always aim for mediocraty, that's what we'll always get.

Keep up the good work everyone! x

wow that was lucky then about the warranty! but £500 a week hiring another car is really expensive!!!!!!

i shouldnt really have a car, i rarely use it nowadays, i get train to work, when visiting people we use OH car which im also insured on so my car just sits there most of the time. I could probably do without it it's just actually having the guts to go without. and i would have to sell it with the NB: "3 and a half wheels, doesnt go passed 50MPH" lol

lol get it sold! it only cost 500 quid a week cause it was a taxi i hired that was with radio fees of £ 85 a week and insurance thrown in and skoda are coughing up £50 a day towards it so only out of pocket by about £100, could have been alot worse all in all just the timing right b4 chrimbo our best time was the killer oh well:rolleyes:

well bingo winnings of £40 landed in my account today, so i have promptly withdrawn and put in pot.
and ive changed my mind.....again, anything i pay directly to the debts goes on the debt list, anything in the pot will got in the savings list, then in april (1st quarter) i will pay it off one debt, which will then transfer off the savings list onto the debt list iyswim, that way i will know where im up to.

and i also advocate selling the car if it hardly gets used, you could put the money it sold for and the insurance money towards your debt as your used to it going out of you account monthly anyway
If we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?

Amatheya81, I completely sympathise! Sometimes it does feel like life is short and we should all go out and do what we like, because who knows what tomorrow will bring.
But it sounds more like she is trying to make up for shortfalls elsewhere in her life, convincing herself she's having a 'good time' when deep down inside she's probably wondering how on earth to pay it all back. It's just shortsighted. My idea of real fun is spending money I know is mine and that I saved and sacrificed things for. Somehow, knowing that I'd owe my life to a bank would really take the fun out of that last marguerita.
Good for you though; don't let people get you down. Even my own family think I'm mad for shopping at cut price supermarkets! Won't stop me doing it though!!
