Didn't you know that you should never ask a woman her age?? :D. I am 28 and believe me that feels old to me - I am dreading 30 .

I didn't go to uni, my debt came from being stupid, taking too many holidays, buying too many pointless things and basically going wild when I was a youngster. Paying for it now though.

Thank you for the welcome. Really looking forward to getting that 10k paid off :j.

    Emily xx
  • Hehehe ...... I do know that Emily - but it dont hurt to be cheeky once in a while :p lol

Dont talk to me about 30! yeish....scares hell out of me

I may even set my debt free date to when im 30, so at least i got something to look forward to! lol Gonna be the biggest celebration when we clear that 10k!!

  • Morning All,
Going to start trawling round the house tonite for stuff to put on ebay, as soon as paypal re-activate my account. Don't know why they stopped it but anyway, I'm bound to have some stuff to flog! Does anyone know a good site for selling books? I used to use amazon but since the post prices when up, it's actually costing me money to sell a book if it's under £2 so I wondered if there were any better sites?
Haven't heard anything from Avon yet, will re-apply again today. Got some birthday money yesterday and chucked some change in my 'secret' account so has gone up a little. I know we're not officially starting until Jan 1st, but I'm counting this as practice!!
    Have a great day all
    Sx

  • First time user....

ive calculated my debts and they amount to over 40K, very scary!! I need to do an SOA but cant find where the link to this is, can anyone help? I'd really like to join this but it might be more like 2k in 2010 for me. Just need to assess my ability via the SOA and hopefully get some ideas for reducing my outgoings.

    Appreciate any help going.
  • Hi Chris - Dont panic about your total, I've got about the same and as Knitty says its scary to start off with but you can soon become obsessed! :D

Hi siannie -Happy Birthday  - have you thought about using green metropolis? (just search under that) they pay a fixed price of £3 although you can reduce the asking price if you don't think it worth that and you can add more if its a particularly large book to cover the extra postage. I list my books on both green met and amazon and then when they sell just remove them from the others list.

I've been thinking long and hard about how to crack this challenge and Im a bit restricted on getting another job because my main jobs working hours are a bit all over the place. Ive been thinking about making things to sell (ebay, car boots etc) and think Christmas decorations might be the way forward. Although Im out and about with my job I'm often sat around in the car for hours so Im trying to think of the best way to 'utilise' this spare time but not coming up with much at the mo :rotfl:

Its great to see so many people joining up, it means more help and support to go round!
