Sallymander, Ames, xEMSKIx, Rictus123 welcome aboard my thread!!!
More the merrier, the more support and ideas we can give each other the better! :T
Sounds like most of you are looking to clear at least 10K so we can tackle this momentus task together!!
Sallmander - same with me, iv got about 30K im totalling it up as we speak and will detail it all later but I think 10K is a good figure to start and make that dent
Im really looking fwd to it too- it takes the daunting edge off it having guys on here to talk to and making it a 'challenge', if its less of a chore your more likely to pull it off
Ames - what figure you looking at hitting, your welcome to state your target figure and try and hit it with everyone else we get on board......lets try make this fun and take the stress out of it
Oh in heindsight how differently I would do uni now....spent like an idiot - i didn have a clue :S
xEMSKIx - defowill be glad for your input welcome to the thread and our challenge
I dont know about you guys but im so looking fwd to this....be good to see light at the end of the tunnel and ill be so proud if i do it!!
Hell......if we all do this we should meet up Jan 2011 in London for a beer and celebrate!!!!lol

I want to clear my debt by the end of next year (I'm 30 on Jan 2nd 2011), which is erm, around 3k but I can only do it with 40% f&f's, plus I want to pay my dad back the £400 I owe him. So over all I'm looking to save 1200 (I've got some already saved). It doesn't sound a lot, but I'm on benefits so it is to me.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

Did smoke- Not any more (26-02-11):j
I am not perfect but everyone loves a trier don't they??:A0 -
I should have about 11,000 left by the end of the year, I am not a newbie but can I join?
I REALLY want to get out of debt so I can maybe leave my job. My original debt free date when I started here was dec 09 (I will be CC debt free by then, just the loan left) (the big scary loan!!!)
thanks
Buffy xxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
I'm not a newbie either but would love to join in. (Have had a couple of userneames so far!) My debt currently stands at approx £9800. I will be able to chip away at it a bit more so think it will be about £9000 by the end of the year. But there is a possibility I will be made redundant next summer so really need to get it paid off ASAP. Good luck everyone!20K by Xmas 2010 (10 in 10 challenge - debt):

Another "not a newbie" wanting to sign up!!!! if i could pay £10k off next year i would of cleared nearly half my debt (its around the £22k mark at the mo)
For those that like numbers it means paying off £833ish a month.............
good luck everyone!!!!!
love rags
xxxxxxxxDecember 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Wow - when you put it like that Rags that's just about all of my wages. :eek:Meaning we would need to live on OHs wages! Our fixed term on the mortgage finishes Feb/ March time which should mean we're about £400 a month better off so that should help!20K by Xmas 2010 (10 in 10 challenge - debt):
