Same here, uni is sooooo expensive! Can't wait to get Debt Free... am really excited about this challenge! :jHi everyone,
Woke up to over another heavy fall of snow here, at least I am off today. Here is the recipe for mars bar cake for all who requested it! Might have to make some myself today, as keeping warm uses up extra calories!!!
-6 regular size mars bars
-approx 3-4 oz of butter
-approx 1/3 regular size box of rice crispies
-bar of cooking chocolate for covering
Melt the mars bars and butter in pot slowly be careful not to burn mix!
Add rice crispies and mix until fully coated
Turn out into shallow tray and flatten (rolling a glass over works well as tends not to stick)
Leave to cool
Melt chocolate and spread over top - leave to set, cut into squares/slices
ENJOY!!!
I buy the mars bars when they are on a '5 for £1' deal - much cheaper. Also real chocolate is lovely for the topping, but much dearer.
Let me know how you all get on!

YUM, YUM, YUM! Would it be bad to lick the glass clean after? waste not want not, and all that jazz!:money:
I am DEFINITELY going to try this one out. Thanks Peetzil!

Hey guys,
I will be going off-line for a few days, to celebrate Christmas and all that! But I have progress to share... a £50 Dooyoo cheque arrived today, so I have been to the bank and put it in a brand new savings acount (that I have opened especially for this challenge). So £50 so far and 2010 hasn't even started yet! : o ) Also, I found a random tenner hiding in my purse so I might add that too. Lol!
We can do this people!!! If we work together as a team and share ideas we will get there!
Hav a great Christmas, here's to making £10,000 in 2010!!

Oh poo
just realised that £333.33 a month wont pay off ALL my debt!!
This set me thinking. To those of you who are doing this challenge to pay off debts, are you planning to knock £10k off your debt balance, or pay £10k towards your debts?
Looking at the figures in a snowball calculator I could feasibly pay £10k towards my debts, but with the interest charges, wouldn't be able to knock off £10k off the balance, if that makes sense.0 -
I'd like to join in too! We had a new build sale fall thru so ended up with a few grand on a card, unpaid holidays etc.. all adds up! Phew, so this looks like the place for some geeing up and encouragement.0
