Hey all,
Where does time go? Can't believe I still haven't been able to read the thread. Just to try and cover all eventualities...
A 'Well done' for any gains in paying off debts!!
A 'keep going' for anyone struggling!! and
A 'hug' for any newcomers and anyone that just wants one!!
We have now paid into either savings or off debts a total of £5,493.87.
However, we have been shuffling debts and have had to pay £800 towards our honeymoon onto the credit card so that increases that debt. Am still happy though as the rest of the £2,400 total was paid by savings as was £475 excess on my car insurance after a bump last month.
xxWandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -
my goodness, how have you all reached these amounts??????!!!!!! wow and a big well done to you all.
I am struggling so far as only just over £3k (although still have a few payments to go this month)
any words of wisdom??December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Unfortunately for me, it's called spending approx £1000 a month paying off my debt
I can't wait till I can save that money rather than pay off debt - less than 2 years to go.CC Debt at LBM Nov 08 - £25000+ DFD Dec 2012Second DFD May 2021Starting my MFW journey: Opening Balance: £138,000; July 2019: £135107.33; July 2024 £52974.602025 MFW #360 -

£906 each month just for min payments  (more than my rent of course!) then try to pay some more on top although it's often impossible! Then there's the not spending, not buying treats, not going out, shopping around for special offers etc, etc.......Boring boring blah blah :rotfl:BUT....hopefully all worth it in the end
Oh to be rid of it!

Well, it's been a long time since I've been around the site and updated things. I've not had as much swift movement as we've paid off the cards and the rest is easier to ignore as it's all at super low interest rates (0-3% forever), which is a bit naughty of us.
The other big news is that we've come into a fairly hefty amount of money, so we expect to pay 10,000GBP in the next month or two and just be rid of a lot of it, which I can't wait for.
Anyway, the current updates for this thread are:
921 GBP paid, putting me at 6,239/10,000Goal 1 - CCs & Loans Credit card free as of 20 Feb 2010!!! Loan Free as of 15 Sep 2011!!!

Ok, have been put off updating here really as everyone seems to be hitting the half way mark. but heres mine:
i have paid a total of £3762.12 so far this month, which working it out means i am £400 behind schedule!! but at least its somewhere near.December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

£160.29 paid to MBNA on Thursday. Hate that payment, always comes at the wrong time of the month (a week to 10 days before payday) and pays a silly amount off the balance. I am hopeful of being able to start paying off some of the balance off this card from this month onwards. Eventually aiming for £250 on top of the horrible interest payment.
And I will be looking to transfer 3k onto a 0% in July. I've got 2 more 0% cards to apply for and then the majority of my debt will be paid off with no interest. Not having to apply for more 0% credit card deals will be a step forward. I'll feel like I'm on the final run in with the credit card debt - even though there'll still be about 18 months to go!CC Debt at LBM Nov 08 - £25000+ DFD Dec 2012Second DFD May 2021Starting my MFW journey: Opening Balance: £138,000; July 2019: £135107.33; July 2024 £52974.602025 MFW #360
