I'm miffed today. Found out that my 12 month gym membership was actually a 12 month rolling menbership! I had thought it was finished but no they've continued taking money and now I'm trying to cancel it they keep sending me from piller to post. Grrr! That's going to be a £60 expense I didn't need0

I got a leccy bill in the post today, was shocked to see them trying to increase my DD by 33%. I was swiftly on the blower with a reading and duely recalibrated my provider
. It looks like my DD will not be increasing from April after all

As I just posted in my diary, I've been hit with the bad news that OH's job is disapearing in a few months. Arg, very upsetting both for my debt busting plans and for his self esteem! We can get by on just my wage, but it will be super tight. Hes working on some self employment things and will start looking for another job soon, but goshdarnit I was hoping that life would get easier instead of harder!Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000

Haven't posted for a long time but have been chipping away SLOWLY! A couple of payments have just gone out, but I've had to do a balance transfer as my 0% on one of my cards was running out. So transfer fees taken into account my total stands at 799.21. So not brilliant but better than it would have been if I hadn't signed up to this challenge.
Well done to everyone - some fantastic totals!!20K by Xmas 2010 (10 in 10 challenge - debt):
Debt: £799.21/£10500
Savings: £0 / £95000 -

Know how you feel, same just happened to us, oh in 30 day consultation period now for his job that was meant to be safe for 4 years but has only just got to one and a half! Compnay shutting a plant so lots of job losses. I don't work at moment as 2 little ones youngest of which isn;t even 1 yet, and oh quite traditional in that sense but have found out that if I register s/e selling on ebay then I am eligable to claim wtc in my own right....I sell on ebay, not as a business though, only sell bits and bobs of our own family castoffs but may be worth stepping up a gear and doing it properly?! I think the thought of working for myself for 16 hours a week is better than going back to a waged job for same amount of hours, esp when we are lacking in childcare0
