Serena that was the idea before, but I'm not going to get the money back for buying them, and they can't find them in school, so I'm going to make do with teatowels - more authentic anyway as Tudors wouldn't have had filter paper.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

I've had the busiest week for ages this week, with working and running round after the children and the new cat.

Latest on the cat is that she's got gastroenteritis. I ended up taking her to the vet yesterday after she kept passing blood. She had an antibiotic injection and has got more antibiotics tablets to take. I have had the pleasure of cleaning up after her....lets just say there have been many occasions that she hasn't made it to the litter tray in time!

DD2 is just finishing off her breakfast then we're popping out to the shops. I need to get DD1's present I've reserved from Argos and then head to M&S for a refund as they charged me twice for some pj's and then to Tesco to get things to make DD1's birthday cake and for tea for everyone on Monday night as we've got the family coming round.

Hope your ankle feels better today Soappie after a good night's rest.

Sexymouse...your activity sounds really good. I'm sure the children will love it.

Diva...sending 'easing pain' vibes for Tristan.

juliejim...your day sounds a bit like this week has been for me. I think a very large glass of wine and a bar of chocolate is in order for you tonight!

Off to get DD2 dressed then go out. See you later.

Pigpen...DD1 had a verruca...only one...and I used Thuja (noticed Greenbee suggested that too), and applied tea tree oil to the actual verruca. It went in two weeks. I suggested the same to my friend who had tried everything for her LO's verrucas...she had quite a few, and they all went in 2 weeks as well.

    Good morning everyone.

Well I have managed to get out of bed and the DW is on.

LadyL - yes we had an amazing time, the weather was perfect, two weeks of being waited on hand and foot, no cooking or cleaning and no guilt at doing s*d all. We had 5 days mid atlantic when I didn't see a single ship - the world is a big beautiful place. Also watched the dawn every morning which was wonderful. - Just need to save up and do it again:D

Triker - glad you enjoyed the film, if you were at Kingswood you probably were in the same showing as Ashia:rotfl:

I'm in for the card sending exercise please.

Haven't decided what we are doing with the day yet but it may envolve some flying - the house is a tip. I've shut the ironing pile in the spare room - OH can do what he wants with it, I'm not touching it.

Have fun all - I'm off to put a ham hock in the slo cooker.

    EXTRA MISSION

Beg, borrow or steal two bike by Tuesday:eek:

The twins have a bikeability course at school and need to take their bikes in. The only problem is, the barkes are shot on their existing bikes and we were planning on buying them new ones for Christmas, so I am i a bit of a Dilema.

One option would be to buy the bikes now, tell them they are just hired and then Santa can bring the 'hired' bikes back at Christmas :o.

I looked into actually hiring some for now but it would have been £90 for the three days they need them:eek::eek:.
Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j

Oooh, Jinky, mine is out for delivery too.

DH wants to go out to the tool shop this morning to choose his festive present - now how can I distract him? Please note that two small boys are wide awake and present before anyone makes any of those suggestions! I have already taken him breakfast in bed and a book to read to celebrate the start of his week off.

typically I've just logged on and looks like Thorntons will be delivered today - have texted FiL (where it's being delivered) so hopefully he can leave the porch open!

DH now up, I'm going to sort out a list and we'll try and get as much of it done as possible.

I'm mad with myself, has lost another 2lb this week but it seems to have gone back on this morning - probably the donut and 2 cales i ate yesterday
