Room for a little one with a massive debt?!

Penguin - wow, minimum payments halved? Thats amazing. Been checking out the OS boards, I love it over there, but there is just so much info! Takes a while to get through it all.
Lemon Tree - think stages is the way to go, there is so much to organise! Definitely decided to tackle a couple of the small debts first, as you say good motivation. The bigger ones will still be there afterwards! Although a terrible idea in terms of no interest accrued, might start jars for car tax, insurance, christmas etc. A bit archaic, but I think I will find this easier than having many accounts. Our finances are complicated enough, I don't think my brain could cope with more accounts at the moment. But I will have a think...

Hey hey!
Another slightly rubbish day, but not as rubbish as yesterday. So thats good!
NSD today which was good. No other plans made for debt busting as busy at work.
But, as I mentioned on long haulers, going to a wedding on Saturday and due to a cancellation, now going to reception as well as evening do so will be fed all day courtesy of the brides father!!!
Also trying to learn that a few evenings off don't have to be filled with productivity and that sitting watching trash tv is sometimes good for the soul!
Midweek tomorrow, and only 3 more sleeps until the weekend!!0 -

hehe, thanks! Borrowed a shawl/pashmina thing today, so outfit complete!!
Shame you're on your own for the anniversary, make sure you have delayed celebrations when OH returns!
I was thinking about the opportunity for raiding. I am weak. I was thinking of maybe taping the jars shut and putting a slot in the top. If I have to put work into opening it, maybe that will stop me...0 -
Also Chops - how long have you been married?
OH and I have been together 7 years now, still no ring but I'm not that fussed! I'm such a romantic :rolleyes:0 -
I've got a tin that we fill with £2 coins and to get in we need to get the tin opener. It's about half full and I am so tempted to open it but think OK might notice - might even get the £500 it claims to hold :j

Ha no raiding...for either of us, you can buy those pots you have to break to get in, but the ones I have seen are about £20...so think that is fairly expensive (ha how I have changes in just a few months!)
I have been married 5 years...so a not in the good present zone yet...so relatively cheap for us both!! Roll on diamond and ruby!!
Although we have been together ten years, actually can't beleive its been that long.LBM Total: £33356 15/11/09  £6085.63 paid

ooo, that sounds great. Did you have to buy it? Or, how did you get the insides out if it was filled with food without taking the top off?0

5 year anniversary - wood? Nice piece of furniture? Sculpture? Spray painted pine cone?!
Don't fancy spending £20 on a pot to store money in. Not very MSE!!! Need to finish a jar of something as well before I can start...0
