Thanks Happy and SavingHolmes - I appreciate it.
Having a relaxing afternoon on my own watching a film. Working in the pub tonight, but tomorrow both OH and me are free so will begin tentative steps to sorting things out. Or at least start to come up with a plan... I'm really hoping it goes ok and we can still be nice about everything, but I think tomorrow will be a real test.
Still feeling, even after just 4 days that its the right decision so I have to trust that instinct.

LBM = Lightbulb moment - the moment we realise that we simply HAVE to get to grips with our debt.....it can be quite a powerful moment, and for some of us we think we have had them, but the light bulb was only flickering, and then comes on full power later on!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Dimmer switch is a good analogy for it really, comes and goes occasionally. And mine didn't actually switch on fully, it sort of gradually got brighter :-)
Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Mine was ok, I worked for too much of it and so now am so sleepy!!!
Chats with OH (I guess now should I be calling him exOH?), anyway, chats were ok. Upsetting still, but we are still being very adult and nice about everything, and one of his main concerns was us staying friendly, so thats good. I have agreed to get the flat valued this week. I am so so so upset to have to leave my home, I love the flat so much, but I can't afford to take on the mortgage (plus no one would give it to me anyway) so there is no way I can stay on. OH is going to look into whether he can, but with our situation its slim. But the valuation will be the first thing, then we can look at options. We're also going to get our other flat valued, although I think that is still worth less than we paid, which our current one shouldn't be. So, moving forwards, will be slow going but will get there. I can't believe it hasn't even been a week since this all happened. Still feeling positive about the decision though, and feel like in the long run we will both be happier than we have been together the last few months.
Will also need to seriously get back onto debt busting, things are slipping, but need to keep in control of it all in order for both our situations to improve.
OK, should get on with some work now!
Have a good monday everyone, and thanks for reading.

Hey,
Sorry I haven't been on here much, I haven't caught up with anyone elses diaries either, been so busy...
Problems with our flat that we rent out, boiler issues, new HSE regulations about that, unhappy cold tenants, emergency electric heaters bought...
Current flat valued, worth enough to pay off mortgage and cover fees, ERC etc, but really really don't want to lose my home :-( Discussing ways of possibly keeping it but financially I'm in such a dire situation.
Trying to figure out what to do when my contract ends in July. Not much work around, as everywhere, really don't want to move away as I have a good network of people here but career wise maybe not the best option...
Budgetting? Hmmm. Mostly out the window, desperately trying to not overspend despite going out more because of current situation. Taken on extra pub shift which hopefully counteracts this a bit, and gets me out of flat more.
exOH and I still doing ok together, but its naturally not relaxing at home. He's away this week for work so, so finally finally managing to sleep... Which is great as been running on empty for a while.
So, overall, stress, decision, doing mostly ok and just keeping going. To complete the stress a guy I knew from a while back killed himself last month, funeral was today. paracetamol overdose which is such a horrible way to go and he was the other side of the world from his family. Really so so sad. I cannot even imagine what his family are going through. Puts things into perspective I suppose.
Anyway, hope I havent' completely depressed you all. Thanks for reading and I'll try and catch up with what everyone has been up to later...
