How are you Cranky? xxx
I'm alright thanks, apart from Grumpy the house elf deciding that Father Christmas is not real. When I told him that FC was magic, he looked me square in the eye, sighed and said "There's no such thing as magic mum, even fairies aren't real". As he spends a lot of his spare time pretending to be a fairy, I gave in, and admitted it was me that bought the presents, at which point he punched the air and shouted "Yes". He was only five at the beginning of the month. I have warned him that if he breathes a word to his little class mates I am sending his cat back.
Celyn, I agree with HJ and can I apply to be your sister?
My own sister has just cost me money for heating oil as she's been made redundant and the children all had their coats on when I rang the other night. I am pleased to say that being able to send her the cheque is a result of my moneysaving efforts, as I haven't had any pension/life insurance through yet. Yay for MSE!
I spent this morning cleaning the house and ironing, then went out to lunch with a friend to cheer her up.
Take care all of you, and hugs to those who need them.0 -
LOL @ Fr Xmas story Cranky, one sharp cookie is George, isn't he? You'd better tell him now he'll be on his own with is homework if he's that quick at working things out!
I think it's a good sign that you feel able to help others now. Life goes on, doesn't it, am sure that the diversion will help you get through the next weeks.
I started to make some Christmas cards earlier, not sure how they're going to turn out, but never mind. My socks that I'm knitting are looking good. They'll be so lovely comfy and no nasty seam lines over the toes.
Been nice having DH here today, he's done the new cam belt on my car and finished it, which is pleasing in the amount of ££ saved.
