I'd like to know the legality of offering flights for £1 when there will be absolutely no way of obtain a flight for £1.

Well, for the 3 or so people that are members of the Holmesdale Building Society, they will be able to pay with one of these: http://www.prepaid365.com/holmesdale-prepaid-card.html

Don't any of the banks issue these type of pre-paid cards? I've just ordered an o2 money card, and even though it's a Visa it's still free so I'll give it a bash before going for prepaid mastercard.

By the way, how can they tell if it's a prepaid mastercard or a standard one when taking a payment?

As a guess, by the first few digits of the card number.

    Looking at the Babee Card...

Can't see any advantage to that one myself. It costs £10 (like Phones4U), offers fee-free transactions (like Phones4U), can be topped up for £1 by debit card or for free by BACS transfer (like Phones4U) but charges a monthly fee (unlike Phones4U).

I still prefer ICE or (if you intend to spend over £500 during the card's lifetime) Phones4U.

Not looking at it anymore.... Don't like monthly fees.

Phones4u is fine if you have a local shop. Not sure if BACS offers instant credit.

It's down to them or Bread for my usage pattern.

I'd like to know how long it'll take the UK authorities to firmly stamp on Ryanair and potentially all card fees as a result of this. Surely this is a massive own goal by Ryanair, as it will give the regulatory authorities a chance to really attack them, given that the card isn't even linked to any bank accounts as far as I can see?
    From Poland...with love.

    They are (they're)
    sitting on the floor.
    Their
books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.

I am glad Ryanair are doing this. I hate the whole ethos of that airline. I have never travelled with them and will never travel with them. This only strengthens my dislike for them.

You sound like a right Scrooge. I think it's great that some people have been able to leave the UK for less than the cost of a packet of fags.
