I suspect Ryanair might end up being forced to accept bank transfers, like in Germany.
I don't think they will ever accept bank transfers. It would probably cost them more than Visa Electron to process. As far as I know there is no automatic way to check if a bank transfer has arrived. Also, some bank transfers take up to five working days to arrive and it is more difficult for the purchaser. You would have to book on Ryanair's, then log in to your bank, then create a payment with a Ryanair reference number. Too much trouble!
If anything they may be forced to advertise a "payment fee inclusive" price.0 -
Neteller Net+ does not cost anything, so it is much better.Maybe so but others who have more time will no doubt delve into it and find any "catches".
The easiest and simplist seems to me to be ICE sterling traveler card.
Easy to open and only costs 2%,so £102 minimum and can be used nearly everywhere in the UK.
If you don`t use Ryanair that often,it seems to be the best "one-off" around.0 -
For this one too, Neteller is the best.
Meaning, for me, Euro > Sterling > Euro. Could be quite costly.[/QUOTE]0 -
http://public.neteller.com/content/global/cards_virtual.htm do a virtual card, not sure if it will be accepted.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

A virtual card would be moneysaving for those who find a great fare and want to book today and don't yet have a physical card.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Ah jaysus - I just signed up an hour ago!
Too bad. Well, you still have a chance of earning EUR 16 if you refer somebody else. I have referred about 10 colleagues, thanks to Ryanair (lalalala) and have earned EUR 160, pretty awesome, I would say. By being so greedy, we are going to run this poor Neteller bankrupt and then look for something else (hahaha)0 -

No actually you get both physical and virtual cards with the account. The virtual one is only generating the number once to keep you secured. It's quite nice actually, a bit like a pirated crack generator. A good tool to use when shopping from China.0 -
Indeed, but from what I can see, it costs no more to get a plastic card as well. I was skim reading though - so could be wrong.
No, the cards a for free for the first time. It only costs you to replace a card in case you lose it. If you replace it because it is damaged, then for free.0 -
Ok, so the only cost is when making a purchase in a currency other than that of the card, correct?
Loading free, same-currency purchase free?0
