Take faulty goods back, you habe the same rights as other shops.

  • Ref the pregnancy kits: I work in Poundland and once overheard a lady who was obviously a nurse saying to her companion "Oh those are the same one we use on the ward" so i think you can rest assured that they are accurate.
Also ref the 'pick and mix' range of 4 for a pound drinks, sweets and crisps: the staff do not have the option to adjust the price if you choose to buy less than 4 because of the way the computerised tills are set up. (however they should be telling you to go and chose some more so that you are not loosing out-the staff in my store certainly do).

brough a doll to pad out daughters stockin last year and when she opened thinking it was from father christmas she discovered that the doll was bald all but the ring of hair surrounding the dolls head looked like a blonde long haired monk. it would have been funny if it wasnt so terrible. that will teach me though this year she gets just what i can afford and i will not be trying to make it look more by filling it with cheap stuff
    Thanks to all :A

on a plus point, Organics no junk cookies are roughly £2.50 in the supermarkets so finding them at £1 made my day, year, month and decade....

I agree the tin openers are really naff.

Ours sometimes works if you turn it in the opposite direction from the way it's not working - temperemental thing, know not to buy one of them again.

The cheap shaving mousee for men - moosehead - was dreadful, but now get the Wilkinson sword blue tin and it's fine - so what you lose on the swings you gain permanently on the roundabout.

We get cheap 'lynx' for DH for using for workdays, he prefers Lynx for the weekend.

Imperial leather for men 4 pack of soap is a must-buy , it's £1.87 in Tesco. Their other soaps aren't so nice so I steer clear of them.

The jewellery racks are not worth the money, they turned my DD's neck a lovely shade of green'grey last Christmas - in my defence it was a cheap stocking filler to let make sure she had plenty to open on our first ever away from home Christmas.

Sunglasses / Shades are a good buy if you take the time to pick through them, but lots of them are scrathed, which isn't worth the money.

Freezer bags tend to be cheaper in Tesco/Asda.

I agree most batteries aren't worth the effort, but the watch type batteries are a really good buy if you can find them.
