  • Thanks SAH, I have lost a stone since this time last year but that wasn't a "diet", it was because I was unhappy with myself then. I now feel very comfy at my weight (size 12 so OH is happy too!!) and can let things go a bit and not put any on IYKWIM.
I just want to drop about an inch off my hips for this dress but I'm not too worried.

My goodness, I'm only 28 but you're right, at 21 I weighed about 1.5st less than I do now but still thought I was fat!! I feel young to be getting married now, you were a pup!

Got to do "the shop" tonight but on the plus side, we needed to do it on Saturday but have squeezed our freezer until today!!
  • Well, I have lost almost an inch so fingers crossed dress (week on weds) should fit like a glove. I was so diappointed on Saturday, H2B's best man emailed and said "mate can you call me", they've known each other for about 25 years so they're really good friends. Basically Best Man has been offered a job abroad (amazing job of a lifetime) and he and his family are moving out there.

The job have told him that he needs to be there (abroad) at some point between 13th May and 18th May. Our wedding is on 15th. I'm so gutted, I know his job and future life is more important than our wedding but I was so so pleased when he said he'd do it and now the blimmin job has got in the way. I'm kind of hoping we can ask someone to be "waiting in the wings" but it's hard to do that in case they get offended but I really hope he can still make it.

I think H2B was shocked when I burst into tears (I'm not a tears kinda gal) but I think it was just becasue I've had so many balls in the air recently (2 jobs, honorary treasurer for a club, trying to qualify for the commonwealth games, as well as trying to plan our wedding) that it all got to me.

Anyway, we had a nice chat and a wonderful weekend in the garden which now looks AMAZING so it wasn't all bad.
  • Well, I'm off on my hen do today and I'm so excited. I went out for my 6am run as usual because I didn't want to waste my morning lying in!! So now I've done my run, cleaned the car and had a nice hot shower.

I also had a walk round the garden with a cup of tea. This is one of my favourite free things to do because I love our garden and I love spring. I would rather have walked round it with a glass of wine but it's a bit early!!

When I do my run I do my sums for the blimmin CC, no matter what I do it never seems to actually get any closer to £0! But my sums work out ok for next month. Had to turn down all of secret extra job sessions this month and next month because of wedding plans, so not as much extra as I'd hoped but still have some expense claims to put in so should do ok.

Hope everyone is well, it's such a lovely day!!!!!!!!

Well, feeling on a downer again today. As I posted earlier I have decided to stay in the army for another 2 yrs (taking my leaving date to July 2013, initially was due out next yr). Both of the jobs that I really wanted have been given to other people and I won't find out where I'm going next until October. I wouldn't mind usually but I made it clear that those jobs were one of the reasons I extended and the hierachy knew that.

I feel like they are taking the p as thay have asked if I will come here and do this awful job that entails so much more admin and travel. I'm the most junior person in this region and they've put me here in a senior job (which I don't mind) but I feel like they're laughing at me now. They initially said I would be here til the end of April, now it's Xmas. AAARRGGHH.

If it wasn't for this blimmin credit card (thanks mortgage broker for not getting stamp duty added to our mortgage) I would leave next year. Still, at least we've saved all that interest by paying it off 0%.....

Hey ho, I'm sure it will all work out in the end.

    At least it's friday.

  • Not much movement this month really. The usual money paid off but hardly any extra as had one car services, one car new sump and car tax. As well as finishing touches for wedding in 26 days (eeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkk). At least the weather has been lovely and the garden looks brilliant.
