sounds good - we did something similar in a previous house - hedges do take up an amazing amount of room if you let themAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Last day at work, can't wait to not get up tomorrow! OH and I had an argument last night and he's really annoyed me. On the plus side we have a financial plan that will sort out a huge chunk of the debt fairly painlessly so that's good.
Why is it that when you ask a man something twice you're nagging, when he asks you it's because he's so busy he can't possibly remember everything he's supposed to?0 -
My flat has let!! Thank goodness, the new lady will move in as soon as I've done the carpets etc. Thank goodness!! Hoorah and hooray.0

I'm so pee'd off today, some people are so blimmin rude and ungrateful it drives me mad. Why is it just take take take for some people?
Sat with a nice cup of tea looking at my meagre lunch (got a wedding dress to fit into so on a healthy eating drive) wishing I was somewhere else.0 -
Great news re the flat - will that help with the debt busting then!
When's the wedding - have you checked out the special occasions board and the mse wedding section? My sister halved her expected wedding costs doing that - meaning she was able to get married much sooner!
Sorry if you are having a rubbish day - hope it picks up soon!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks SH, I have budgeted, MSE'd and haggled my way to a well under budget wedding. I despair at people who will pay over the odds just because it;s their wedding, we have the perfect day lined up!!
Day is better now because all my patients have left and I'm doing my paperwork which is the most enjoyable part of my day.0 -

Off to court today with one of my soldiers so I'm still at home, going to head up to the station for about 10, it's a 3mile walk, which I would definitely have taken a taxi for before i found MSE!! Now I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to get outside in the daylight, a rare occurrence when you work in surgery all day!!
Also I didn't put my time sheet in for secret extra job in Dec so got Jan and Dec pay today which was nice, it seems nicer when it's all in a lump doesn't it!!
Plus have secret extra job tomorrow afternoon, I could do with a chill out afternoon to be honest, these 0530 starts are starting to give me wrinkles but I just think, the more of that I do, the less time I'll have to work for to pay the mortgage etc!!0 -
glad you had the money today - as you say it knocks a bit of time off the mortgage etc. Hope you enjoyed the walk too! Very mse!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well, feeling particularly flush this month and have £259 spare. I think (once it has cleared) I will pay an extra £100 off the mortgage, £100 off the CC and £59 into ISA. We are on track to clear the CC in November and it's 0% so I'm trying to squeeze a bit of interest off the mortgage as well.
It's alovely day here now but my car doors were frozen shut this morning!!0
