Just managed to dig the car out thank goodness. It's parked on the main road whih isn't ideal but at least in means I can get to work tomorrow. As long as the roads from the motorway to work have been sorted! Hope so!0

I had a lovely weekend thanks SH. Because of the snow, everything was off and it was just me and OH which was lovely and quiet!
How about you? Hope you've been managing to stay warm!?0 -
Working at home this afternoon!! Usually quite hard to do that, being a dentist an all but I have sooooooo much admin to do, I saw patients this morn. It took me 2 hours to get into work and it was still snowing when I left at lunchtime and I did not want to get stuck there! So I am working, and surfing a little bit!
I have such a dilemma, you know when you are so careful with every penny but then something comes up that is a luxury and you just don't know what to do. Someone has offered us something really ace for our wedding but it is expensive and I don't know what to do. I will sleep on it!
I had £13 of dooyoo miles expiring with no hope of getting to £50 by the end of the month so I just got some amazon vouchers and will prob sell them on ebay to get some cash.
Hope all is well with everyone, I treated myself to a massive coffee when I got in form work and now I've got a headache! I thought it would help me concentrate but I was totally wrong!!
Stick to the tea!0 -
Hi csa - we are managing to keep warm okay here. We've had snow practically every day this week but it has been light.
I've been watching back-to-back episodes from Private Practice series 2 this week - sexy or what!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I love Gray's but as I'm hardly ever at home, we don't spend much time watching TV. Box set sounds good though!
Made some pacts with OH last night about money saving so our paths are beginning to converge. He does like his wine though (so do I to be honest!!)0 -
glad your OH is starting to see the light. On the wine - there are offers sometimes that are worth doing. Tescos sometimes do clubcard deals on wine, m&s often give a bottle of win as part of their dine in for £10. Perhaps need to buy when the wine is reduced in price - as long as you can resist drinking it quicker?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

We only ever buy it when it's on offer! Don't get me wrong, we're not on the pop every night but we do like to relax at weekends.
So tired this weekend, just woken up on the sofa, OH's step mum had a surprise 50th this weekend and I offered to drive everyone so I'm pooped.
Dreading getting up for run and work tomorrow but I (obviously) have to go to work! And I need to get some running in to get into my wedding dress (May 15th!).0 -
Did my run! Struggled a bit though. The snow has really not helped with that. Still not lost any weight though. Must try harder. I will run every day this week (I normally do but it takes me a while to get back into it after Xmas!).
I will also do the weekly shop, I'm much better than OH at spotting a bargain!0 -
Another run done! Have a big inspection at work today, it's very frustrating as I have been sent on loan to this jo and I've only been there 10 days! Still, I have managed to put some policies in place. Just seems like I will suffer because the last guy was an "adminphobe".
Have managed to get another interest free CC so I can transfer my balance. My current one runs out in May but I am away almost all of April and didn't want to leave it til the last min incase I got turned down.0
