OK, I've laid the table as OH's children are coming on Sat for our family xmas lunch before they head off for xmas with their mum and her family. It looks ace, I'm now going to sort some wedding invitations out and maybe have a bath to warm me up before bed. OH is away so I can't warm my feet up on him.... he loves that!:p
No more money in or out but have extra job on Sunday and get double time but won't get paid til Jan. I do like my Sunday chill out but can't say no to the money at the moment.0 -
Done half the invitations, have done two things off my list of 11:rolleyes: to have done by the time he gets back.
Had an appraisal at work today and it was ok, boss was shocked when I said "that's exactly what I would say I'm good and bad at". Have to be honest though don't you!
He said I was "popular, personable and the most intelligent person I've ever met":rotfl:OH disagrees, he thinks most people with degrees are really stupid. I have to agree on occasion!!:p
Well, Nigella's Christmas Kitchen () has finished so I'm off to do the next two things before having supper.0 -
CSA I think you are doing amazingly well! Congrats on your appraisal and nice to have a few more pennies coming in from weekend work too!
Hope your family are supportive of your money making efforts too!

It's still freezing and no sign of any melting. OH is on his way home, I think he'll be fine up until the last mile which hasn't been gritted at all.
I've had a wonderful morning! Walked to Mr T to get some almonds to make mum some marzipan for xmas, it looks and tastes (sorry mum:o) wonderful so very pleased with myself!
Also have prepared all veg for xmas lunch tomorrow as a surprise for OH. Have lit a festive candle and have some mulled wine at the ready for when he gets in. I always like to make an effort so he knows how much I miss him.
Nothing off the ball and chain today though. I think that's me done until payday, really happy so far though.0 -
Well, they all made it and luch was wonderful yesterday. DH's second son has grown up so much and he got us a really really thoughtful present.
They've just headed off to the airport and I'm about to leave for secret extra job. Don't want to leave my lovely cosy house but there we go! That's my only DFW contribution today.
Hope everyone else is well.0 -
well done on the extra job
Glad time with DH's son went well too!

Just got back after spending Christmas with mum and dad, we were so lucky! We got a 25kg bag of spuds, a goose and two pheasants for the freezer. Plus a saw so we can attack our dead elm trees (and logs for the fire) and a book on how to kep hens, all from my mum and dad. Perfect.
I'm so happy, OH is my hero.:D:D0
