how do i complain (11th nove episode of Coronation St)

I don't want to spoiler the show for anyone, but I think that the comments made by Gary Windass were leading up to a storyline for his character over the next few weeks. I guess the writers wanted to start somewhere. I found what he said abhorrent and was pleased that the character was put in his place.

get a grip OP its only Corrie for goodness sake and it was dealt with pretty well

The lad had a point though didn't he?

In days gone by you didn't have a choice but to either go to war or go to prison.

But it's 2009 and people do have a choice now. You can't join the army and then complain that you lost your limbs in Afghanistan, people know the risks and aren't forced to go.

That has to be THE most insensitive and ignorant comment I have ever read on MSE!!!
It's because of people like our soldiers, that we have the great country we have to live in today. Yes they sign up to do a job, but I think they would have the right to "complain" if they had limbs blown off
God love our soldiers they are obviously far more noble than the likes of you.

Are squaddies still "far more noble" when they're tanked-up on pay night, starting fights with strangers in pubs?

Just wondering, like......

A lot of the squaddies are good honest chaps, that is for sure, but there are a not insignificant number who seem to think theyre untouchable.

Don't paint them all as angels as some are as far from it as you can imagine, and get a kick out of shooting people dead for a living.

People shouldnt get to precious about the poppy appeal. There are plenty of people out there who dont wear one for personal reasons and get grief for it even though those giving the grief dont understand why...

Im gonna complain that corrie is on the telly at all as its dire television.

I find some of the comments on this thread FAR more offensive than anything I've seen on Corrie or even South Park. There are bad apples in any section of society, as this thread highlights in more ways than one...

Those that do not like our military force should try living in an oppressed nation, or maybe a completely anarchic society. Somalia may be a nice place to live.
