I think the Wii is better than both the Xbox and the PS3

It's dam good, Massive open play like Oblivion. I've finally took a break from it after 4 days of playing it.

Is it very different from the first game? I couldn't get into it, but I loved Oblivion, so I may have to check it out.

I was actually trying to give a balanced opinion, you're obviously a 360 fanboy

I think my opinion was pretty balanced too; the Xbox 360 is better in some ways, and the PS3 is better in others.
I stand by my comment of the PS3 being a better console for kids although I think the Wii is actually the best console for younger kids.

There are lots of good children's games on all the platforms; my daughter loves playing the Lego games, Viva Pinata, Harry Potter, Sonic The Hedgehog, Shrek, etc, on the Xbox 360.

I agree the Wii seems to have more games geared towards a younger audience though.
Assassin's Creed does look good, apart from the faces. Have you played Uncharted, there are some breathtaking views in that game

Yes, Uncharted does look very nice indeed, you'll get no argument from me there.
  • I have tried PS3 but which has the best and more games?
  • I have tried PS3 but which has the best and more games?

They both have a lot of very good games.

I think the best way to decide between the two is:

    1) Do any friends have a PS3/360 that they use online. If so you may want to get the same console so that you can play games together.
    2) Look at the exclusive games, which do you prefer e.g. Forza 3 or Gran Turismo, Singstar or Lips, Uncharted or Gears of War etc.
    3) Is Blu-Ray important, if so it's a PS3 unless you want to buy a separate player.
    4) Don't decide and get both :p

Thanks for the info, never tried online before.

PSP,DS,DSI,WII are better for kids. 360 and PS3 Have kids games on but the PS3 is an all round media centre games machine where the 360 is more on the lines of just a gaming machine, However they are trying to capture more on the media scene. Both machines are as good as each other and some parts on both machines are better than other.

Both consoles have flaws and poor design like most things these days, Cheap parts in both consoles to make max profit as per usual, Nothing is built like it used to be.

Never played uncharted on the PS3 I owned (Since sold) if I decide to get another then it's on the list.

Rent it out and see for yourself, It can still be abit repetative but it seems alot better. I've not touched many games since getting it. Not even sure if I am close to finsihing the story as I have been doing other things like collecting treasure and codex pages.

Seems alot more open than before though and the new skills with the weapons are gruesome and awesome.

game of the year between MW:2 and AC2, I think AC2 Would win as it's longer campaign.

i think the correct answer to this is that both are must haves. the real question is which to get first and then save up for the other. the 360 is a must have simply for the gears of war series and the halo 3 multiplayer. the ps3 is a must have for games like uncharted 2 and killzone 2 plus its a blu ray player.
i love gears of war 2 but i think uncharted 2 is my favourite game. i guess the fact that these games are doable for rubbish gamers like me contributes to that. i am playing uncharted 2 on the very easy setting. i have had over 11 hours of gameplay so far and i still havent finished it.

Found this thread searching for PS3 or X-Box as my friend can't decide which she should choose for her n her fella. This thread is a couple of years old now and was wondering are there any major differences between PS3/X-Box of 2009 and 2011? What would/have people chosen and does it depend on what you are gpoing to use it for primarily?

I have both i prefer the ps3 due to the controller being easier to use (smaller and better button layout) . I mainly play online (MW3) with friends so does your friends fella have mates he will be playing online with ? if he does choose that one.
