    Thanks Girls :o

All my friends from school are at uni so we see each other like once a year! I'm sure it'll all be fine once I'm more settled in a job or something. :o

I have non-money related good news... I have lost half a stone! Yay! The diet is actually working and I'm feeling quite positive.

Plus I'm looking forward to my birthday! :j

My Mum and sister are properly in the !!!! with their money though, and they both owe me money so that's annoying.

Hate to say it Zig, but don't lend them anymore, in the long run it doesn't help them and it drags you down

Sorry to hear you are feeling a bit down. I find it hard being up in London as I only know people at work so have no-one to do stuff with at the evenings.

Maybe you could try taking up some kind of hobbie as a way to meet people? I know it is a bit scary but could be worth a try.

Well done on the weight loss Zig!! I've been bad and gone back up to 10-6 need to get back on track with it otherwise it'll creep on, Pringles had somehow snuck their way back into my diet!! Might start FoodFocus again today as I haven't eaten anything yet...

It's really stressful when your parents have money issues but I agree with Dinah, you shouldn't be bailing them out, especially when you're only a student yourself (by that I mean not earning much!)

Have you been feeling better since you've been at your Gran's? Are the people on your course not friend material? How about joining a club or something at uni - climbing club or something? Keep fit, and they'll go out and about climbing once you're able, I know a girl who does this and goes out climbing most weekends and has made some lovely friends!

I won't lend the family any more money, mostly cuz I have no more to lend! But I know it makes things harder for me, I just don't like seeing them struggle I guess.

I plan to be brave and join a club or something maybe in the summer, I'm just stupidly busy at the mo. The girls at uni are friend material, but they mostly like drinking. Good idea about the uni clubs!

Things are much better now I've moved out, in all aspects of life really! :)

    Money

I had to use my small amount of savings (£121) to get myself out of my overdraft that had crept up. But I'm all even now and get paid Friday so it should be ok.

I got £400 from the uni yesterday so that is my holiday savings. I'll use some of that for my birthday weekend away.

My car has had to have a lot of repairs lately so that's £400 that I need to spend when I get my student loans through.

So far though, everything seems to be going ok :)

I decided to take £100 from my holiday savings and put them into my ISA so my new house fund stands at £2000. I was gonna not count that but I decided to as it all counts. :)

I'm trying to stick to my £30 a week budget which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't! I got some bargains yesterday in Tesco and Asda - reduced cake tins, baby clothes with 30% off, Tresemme at 2 for £5 (£4 each!).

Hi Zig, you're sounding much more positive and your money situation looks pretty okay, especially considering car repairs - ugh! Big well done on the weight loss, I'm off to update my neglected thread - oops! xx
