Thanks for reminding me - I've been a couple of times it's well worth going to.
Because it is every two years I couldn't remember if it was on this year or not.

This is a bit of a silly question, but...

    ...can you recycle books?

When I was hunting for a graduate job, I ended up with a massive collection of books and publications about different careers and companies. There is no point giving them away, as the information was for 2006-7 and is now out of date. New versions will be published for 2007-8 anyway and are generally free.

I put newspapers out, but I'm not entirely sure what the reaction would be to a stack of books inside my green recyling box!! Feel like a bit of a muppet for asking, but it feels criminal to bin so much paper without checking if it can be recycled first.

    Thanks. :)

Don't know if you can recycle whole books, but when I had old useless books I've torn the pages out and put those in the recycling box.

Me too, I pull the pages out into manageable chunks and recycle them that way

why not look at the following sites.........

    https://www.bookcrossing.com

    https://www.freecycle.com

    https://www.ebay.co.uk

    https://www.dontdumpthat.com

these are just a few ways trhat you can recycle books, why not also start a book club in your workplace or ask in local charity shops if they'd be interested. Failing that there is always the local council recycling facility.

Praying at the church of MSE should be compulsory!

There are three types of people in the world, those who can add up and those who can't.
