Personally, I don't know why people are complaining about 750mb a month limit on downloads on the iPhone via 3g.
I have one on o2, and not reset my statistics since the 19th June. So, in about 5 months, over the cellular network, I've transferred 251mb sent, and 1.6gb received, so, 1.85gb, and that works out at an average of 0.37gb per month.
I use my phone heavily, internet, streaming radio, multiple e-mail accounts, calendars etc etc, so really 750mb IMO is rather adequate.
as for wifi (the openzones, and cloud), i rarely use that, so can't comment.0 -

I think its more the fact that Orange calls it "unlimited". As for the usage: I do have my Hero as well, use it frequenlty for emails, i-net, twitter etc though I managed to keep my usage at roughly 150MB per months....0 -

Yeah, but it's better than just saying - unlimited with a FUP.
It's unlimited with a limit, (i still don't get the marketing there), and they tell you the limit...0 -
Interesting news...
Orange’s iPhone 3GS: Data Limitations not as Strict as First Thought
http://www.product-reviews.net/2009/11/11/orange%E2%80%99s-iphone-3gs-data-limitations-not-as-strict-as-first-thought/
So it seems it's more of a fair useage policy than a strictly enforced restriction.0 -

It can take up to 24 hours for sim updates to be sent if thats what you mean?
Have you activated it through iTunes as well?0 -
After suffering Orange for 7 years this IPhone nonsense has been the final straw. Being told I must say £170ish for a 32gb iphone 3gs is insulting. God knows i fancied the iphone but the attitude from Orange has really got on my goat.
Goodye Orange, I really hope and pray that people look beyond the popularity of this handset and see what is really going on behind the "we cant do nothing" facade.
Burn in iphone hell! Bye0 -
Sorry but it took you a price until you realised the Iphone is expensive. Yeah I agree it is a good phone but the majority of people are so sucked into it they forget how much they have to pay for it. Over priced imho but all this fuss about being offere it for a lower price just doesnt make sense. Orange aren't making much money from them in the first place. It's such a popular phone because of the sheep mentality that they don't need to drop the price. If you dont buy it someone else will (wrong I know) and without serious price competition which doesnt look like it will happen it's not going to change anything. Because you can leave orange but you woont get the iphone cheaper (on contract) anywhere else.0
