Morning Bookie - Sounds like a full on day.

DH's birthday today, off for a spot of breakfast somewhere then a mooch around town for a bit, then home for a thaw out in front of the fire. Cooking pork steaks in a peppercorn sauce tonight with mustard mash, roast parsnips, panfried leeks and sprouts. Yums

Morning, everyone sounds very busy today!

I have a week off work - no idea what to do with it. Shall I decorate the bathroom?

Has anyone ever used tile primer/tile paint? I can't afford to decorate it properly for a couple of years, because really it needs a new suite, new tiles, new flooring...etc. So I was thinking of just painting the tiles white, splashing a fresh-looking colour on the walls, and sticking some cheap lino down, just to make it look vaguely presentable for now.

It's cold here, I had to put the electric blanket on last night, brr.

Yep Ive used the tile stuff snags and it looks awful tbh, well it did when I used it on a friends tiles and it peels off! Bit like painting them in gloss!

Morning all

Its frrrrrreeeezing here! Had to get the winter coat out this morning and it was lovely and toastie! At work until 12 and then I am going to try and do a quick run by myself so I don't have to go to runclub tonight and can save myself a pound and get on and tidy the house.

Bit worried about my sister today got a text from her last night and she said she had had a very hard week. I know its not all my responsibility to worry about her but at the moment its falling on my shoulders.

Sounds like everyone is having busy days...

Lol....well I might give the tile paint a miss then. Although not sure it would look worse than the mottled pink tiles that I currently have... :rotfl:


Hope your sister is okay Sal, you seem to be having a really hard time at the moment. Make sure you don't get lost under the pile of worries - you know we are here if you need to talk, either on here or by PM/FB/text/phone.

I do feel like I carry the worry of everyone in my family I tell you! My mum comes to me, my sister relies on me, OH well thats another story, Boss treats me like im in charge and passes everything on to me grrrrrrrr
